Even I hate her. Starting I used to enjoy those saas bahu shows. I was in my early teen. In school we discussed these things like hell. But when grew up we realised how fools we were 😆😆. My mom used to watch some Epic weekly serials but the moment these saas bahu serials entered my mom stopped watching tv

That's why people named her kekta. And ekta is not only at fault it's viewers also who appreciates this kind of shows. And most important faulty trp system, how can 44000 house hold decide which shows will be watched by remaining crore population 😡.

I fail to understand why this show has to be revolutionary! What a shame that such shows were not even attempted to be telecasted on Indian TV.

It discusses real world problem and deals with them so realistically that it’s a shame and a failure on part of ITV to promote good content that addresses these issues! We had excellent stuff in the 90s on TV.. slowly that paved way to more OTT and regressive shows that nobody can relate to! And now it’s in shambles, unless someone decides to rise above TRPS and petty egos , rise above pressures of including “certain” types of characters to appease “certain” kinds of audience, and actually does something about it. I don’t know if there’s any governing body that channels the flow of content to the TV , but if there is , it’s about time they start taking this seriously.

I can’t believe we are in 2021 and yet all the channel wants to promote is hate marriages, Ema’s, drinking up humiliation and insult in the name of joint family and third angles who somehow always win!!

This monopoly and trp game is not gonna work for long. Ott content is thriving. People are slowly switching from tv to ott platforms. There is no dearth of good, interesting
content, which talks about the real problems is of society. Added to that there is international content as well. People are rejecting toxic content, people are vouching and rooting for positive and progressive content where so called villains and third angles don’t win all the time. Where the leads are not dumb. Where women don’t bow down their head and do only what’s expected of them, where Men don’t fall weak in front of elders unrealistic demands. People want to see reality even in fiction. And the trend for our show is the biggest proof of that.

And if SP plays dumb and blind to the fans pleas, a lot of people including me are not gonna give another chance to the channel. We have other options. Better options.

After reading your points I remember one famous producer interview. He had been asked regarding housewives are watching television will they accept change or not something like this. So he answered tomorrows housewives are today's girls only. So they will definitely want to see some freshness.

Yes it's right people are switching slowly from tv to ott. Eg my home and neighbours only. Few months back my husband cancelled our d2h subscription as in weekend we were watching sony reality and saakk. So he bought fire tv stick. And in my neighborhood also most woman are housewives and they are more into ott. Time is changing tv will also change in future 🙂

And not only does it motivate the females, it shows the males how supportive a husband can be!

But here we are, daily exposing the world with toxic content and when there is something that is actually worth watching because its showing reality the drama hungry aunties can't digest it? Forget about being able to watch this show, I am horrified they are ok with letting their kids watch the toxic drama filled shows.

Absolutely ... I mean if a professor Nd a student genuinely like each other and respect eaCh other Nd not for personal benefits... Where is the problem... It's a respectable relationship.. 2 consenting adults ..

But I guess channel standards r 2 females fighting for a male... Dil getting abused by all and sundry but staying quiet Nd being 'ADARSH' and all sorts of toxic unrealistic stuff... Also they think that showing the female lead as uneducated and then she learning Nd becoming educated in a day... Nd solving all problems is funny and right... Education has definitely become a joke... I mean what the hell... I am tired of SAAS bahu dramas and unrealistic toxic stuff...

No one wants to support change and progressive thoughts... It's almost like no one wants a progressive educated women at home... It's a crime.. well that reflects the thots of majority of the people here.. with these shows getting high trps... thankfully m not one of them

It was purely by chance that i came across SAAKK (and its the best by chance ever!!!). I saw just one episode and i was like "man this is so refreshing to see a show portraying the reality of the world. with minimal drama involved". I fell IN LOVE! I have never fallen for a show as fast and as deeply as I have for SAAKK. This is the only type of show that the world should want their kids to watch, not that toxic saas bahu drama stuff.

I simply can't agree more !!She did revolutionize TV but with regressive content which will give a terrible headache and will challenge your sanity.😡Our life is full of tensions,stress..but these shows instead of enriching you ,it will drag you to certain societal norms which are required to be discarded.Audiences have got habituated to such unrealistic dramas so much that they are not ready to accept realistic drama.Only a few like us turn to TV when we see something out of the box and few others have shifted to OTT to enjoy content driven shows!!Saying that..I don't only blame the PH / Channel but viewers are to be blamed also...if they have rejected such crap then the both PH/channel won't be promoting such stuff!!I really wish channels keep atleast two slots for content driven shows and shouldn't measure their potential inrespect of trps.

In the past 10 years, I haven’t watched one show on ITV. Infact any channel.

When I saw the promo of this show, I was not keen on watching another hate love story! But man, did this show surprised me or what?

A show which doesn’t promote toxic ML who gaslights. A show which doesn’t believe in being a self sacrificing FL who gives up on her dreams. A show so revolutionary that it tackled every societal issue, from ragging, to domestic abuse, to equality, to women empowerment to male entitlement.

This show is everything worth fighting for! Only wish it had a better medium to tell its story! I know it’s too revolutionary for mainstream ITV. But ITV desperately needs content like this, so that regressive content can be kicked out and sent back. SAAKK has been the lone warrior fighting against of years of conditioning of ITV audience. Maybe trp aunties didn’t appreciate it, but it sure made noise. It sure made a difference! And that matters!!

SAAKK is challenging the ITV shows....for sure!! I remember KHKT which mocked the ITV shows in a scene which got viral but SP played with it and producer was compelled to turn it into typical ITV drama for trp.But I must applaud Deeya Singh that inspite of trp pressure she didn't bow down.

I am so glad we are fighting! I am so glad the love and support people are showing the show in the past 48 hours. People didn’t lose hope with the news, but instead decided to fight for it. How beautiful is that? We may or may not win. But we will know we tried our best. And the team, the cast will know how loved they are, how much support they have! And that truly matters! Coz everyone has seen the support for progressive content, I have hope that this is pave way for a change in regressive content.
More than the channel ...I want the actors of the show to know the madness that they have spread among the fans for this show.They need to feel that how much they are loved for bringing a sense of content after watching the episodes.After most of the episodes u are left with a smile.Channel surely knows the craze and they are so dheet that they will never acknowledge it.I'm glad that the leads are indirectly voicing their discontent about such biased behavior of the channel.But honestly,I feel ITV has a long way to accept a change..this can only speed up ,if Channels support content driven shows whole heartedly..which is unlikely to happen.

I had gone on a complete break from ITV... Nd I never meant to return... By chance I came across a small clipping on Insta... And it got me hooked.

It's the best that we have got in a decade... Nothing beats it... Whether in thought execution or chemistry...

We have so much problems in life... I see so many patients suffering Nd their problems.. why would I want to view such negativities ...at home too?

My mind needs to be fresh and progressive and this has been the best way in recent times. ..

My mom and grandma did watch Kekta stuff but then I just stopped them from watching stuff like that...they rather watch movies on ott now... Much better ...
