Okay, crazy idea.
When I have enough resources I am going to file a petition in SC to make it mandatory for the shows to put short disclaimers on air time, where different actors from the show comes up and describe whatever toxic is being shown in the show is just an act, and that’s not how real life should be. 😆😆
Yes, do it! I'm happy to help, however it is required!
You know, they do put these terrible disclaimers sometimes, but the threshold is insane. Aaditri and I were talking about IMMJ earlier, and I remember disclaimers only twice in all the abuse on that show- once, when the ML gave the FL a paralytic so that she couldn't go and do something he didn't want her to, and once when she was strung up on a noose. Does it have to be this bad to tell the audience 'hey, this isn't cool'. And then also, they scroll by so quickly, at the bottom of the screen, in fine print.
What you're suggesting would be so cool. When 'You' came out on Netflix, and Penn Badgeley was getting tons of love for the character, he used to point it out in every interview- DO NOT ROMANTICIZE THIS. I loved that.
