Raavis love for Dev

I feel Raavi never loved Dev, She obsessed with him.

She was living in dream bubble and immature...!

About her feeling for Shiva: She will whole heartedly fall in love with him. Die? she would do anything and everything for him..!

Dev wont stand a chance for her when it comes to Shiva.

Her love for Dev was different and this is different and this is more beautiful that was a big huge dream bubble

She has already moved on from Dev. She is not sad now when she sees dev with rishita. She has accepted her marriage and it seems Dev is just a family member for her . But shiva may feel Raavi cannot love him and he is not good for her ..

I think we can't consider Dev her first true love. I mean, yes, the fact that she was ready to take her life at losing Dev shows that what she felt for Dev was more than a simple crush. But the fact that it was one sided and Dev never did anything for her to fall for him that deep, makes for the chance for her to one day realise and see her feelings in a completely different perspective.

I've seen a lot of takes on what exactly were Raavi's feelings for Dev. Was it love ? A crush or an infatuation?

Personally I think it was genuine love. One sided but love nonetheless. If I were to give an example, I'd say it was similar to what the movie starring RK and Anushka, ADHM, showed. They were two friends who shared a warm and caring bond as they practically grew up together but one of them took a deeper liking for the other and started dreaming about it. Plus Raavi came with other emotional baggage as well so for her to start living in this imaginary world where everything is roses and sunshine, is kinda expected.

But now despite all that I don't believe Dev was ever her true love, even from her side only also, so much so that she'd give her life for him. One thing that we should maybe consider about her suicide attempt is that being abandoned on the wedding altar is an extremely humiliating experience for any person and here she's also a girl from a small town where these things majorly impact the family in the society. Plus she also felt her feelings were ridiculed in front of everyone mercilessly as she herself pointed out to Dhara in a scene. So I believe that it was ALL these things together and the trauma that led her to take that decision and not just the mere fact that Dev couldn't be hers.

Her story with Shiva on the other hand, I believe and hope, will be the first time she will actually experience the depth of true love. It won't be imaginary or all fairytale like with the baggage they have but what it will be is real, honest and passionate. I genuinely wish that the makers show Raavi realising the stark difference in her own feelings; her feelings for Dev vs her feelings for Shiva. It shall be so beautiful ❤️.

i think it was a crush and she thought that he also love her looking at her sucid attempt she was not doing it for that she thought she had lost him to Rashita but it was her embarrassment more .

Her love for Dev was immature, it is not even love it is so mere attraction and infatuation for young and tender Raavi to develop feelings for Dev

She is falling for Shiva she is going to fall sumptuously and scrupulously in love with Shiva and now she will realise what’s it is to have man of her own who will reciprocate her feelings and only he can balance her life in whatever situation:

I would say she was deeply, emotionally attached to him. It was definitely more than a crush or infatuation or mere physical attraction. But it wasn't love, there was no acceptance of Dev as he is, because she saw him as a very idealized form of him in her bubbly state. It was like she was in love with the idea of the dreamy state she was in. There was genuine friendship present, however. Hence I would say she was emotionally very attached to him.

What she is experiencing with Shiva is just the start. I am sure once her mindset changes a little, and she sees him with a better perspective, when they move forward as a couple, she'll truly love him a lot.

The suicide part probably has more to do with being rejected, that too at the altar. In fact, I remember, it was exactly during mid-pheras. Personally I feel that makes it more worse. Her idea of finally having a genuine, lving family of her own was shattered. She even expressed towards Dhara, in the exact words, "Aapne mere hi zindagi ka tamasha bana diya." This shows it had more to do with humiliation.

That was not love. That was infatuation.

She misunderstood his kindness and gentle behaviour towards her as love. She was naive and living in her own bubble.

Even though she was about to take a drastic step when her dreams were shattered but it was just because of her innocence. She dreamt about marrying dev due to her infatuation and when that didn't happen it must have hurt.

But love. Nahh!

I really think it was just a crush...just like any gal she also experianced that...most gals only had to see their crush only during school/clg tym or for a while but here Raavi had to see Dev everyday and she had no tym to think away from him....and he is handsome educated and also cared for her....so we cant really blame her...though i will NEVER call Shiva 'not handsome' but his attitude to her wasnt that flattering and she never really got to know the real Shiva...once she gets to know she will be surprised....

There is a scene in OG....this hapns when kathir and mullai are in their intial stage of marriage where they really dont like each other....so once mullai was asked to serve dinner to kathir after everyone has gone to bed...while serving kathir asks her "Saaptiya"( had food?)....and mullai was for the first tym pleasantly surprised....(though the scene is so casual and sounds cliche but i remember myself feeling surprised..OG brought out such emotions)..from there mullai is on a journey to get to know her husband and like her we also gets surprised by the gentle loving yet shy kathir....iam sure Raavi and Shiva are on the same track....and Raavi has just started her journey.... Shiva is already all smiley smiley..iam sure they will fall hard for each other....
