I am the odd one of the forum maybe- I do not see Malini as a toxic person, she is delusional, weak, pretentious at times, egoistic too given the society and her upbringing, definitely does not think before she acts...and that is all I see to that character... But that does not mean I affirm to her actions or makers trying to give her the upper hand or prop her up for the sake of gaining sympathy for her....I usually just ignore any discussion on Malini because like any story she is the third wheel, killjoy, grinch....the makers have written such a lose character arc for Malini..ab uske baare mein kya hi baat karna na..hell I even forward her scenes mostly.😊

Imlie is imlie.. she will think about everyone before BS n her.. so not just fans but characters are also thinking that she will put malini on pedestal and make the sacrifice.. and that's where the challenge comes for makers.. they will keep propping up didi for sympathy but imlie is still there in t family.. she is standing up for herself.. and latest BTS shows she is talking to T family.. i am assuming the truth might be out and people are consoling her (chop ke liye ready 😆) or they just having fun so.. this makes me think they are taking a different route.. mahaan didi will never o away but intensity can be/ will be lowered..
and why i don't talk about malini.. or want not to talk about her .. believe me i do get the frustration.. and there are times when i genuinely feel why is she even there in the show now.. but same as you i dont consider her completely toxic.. there are time si feel her character just act entitled and throws people under bus for no reason but than has been very consistent si i ignore and more on.. we loose essense of a very good episode just cos there was a mention of didi and that's where i feel we should focus on good rather than bad..
does that mean i m asking people not to rant... no ways.. in fact that's what we do most of the times but all i am saying is we should look for brighter picture to.. i hope no one considers this moral policing.. if u do let me know i will edit the post..
