It was 7.1 only.. and that too by adding 7 mins from 9 pm slot , while Ishq Hai got 6.9 which proves that in fact IH was the timeslot leader from 8_9 .

What’s the point of adding those extra 7 mins? How does that effect the rating?

You know 9 pm slot is Mohlat's slot. Many ppl tune on to GEO to watch it. So those 7 mins get high TRPs which help in lifting Daur's TRPs.

But how does that give factual evidence that dour needed those 7 minutes to go above ishq hai? We can’t conclusively say this caused the increase, when we don’t have all the ratings from every minute of those 7 to look at an say these helped increase it. We can make educated guesses n say that without those 7 minutes helped put dour at 1 for the time slot and it very well might be. But we can’t be sure.

Agreed. He has done these types of bichara loser roles so many times before that he looks weird when he is not doing those.

This is what Colors is doing in India. There is show called "Udaariyan" which has gotten popular. To up the ratings of the show before it (Sasural simar ka2) they extended SSK2 runtime to 7:10, when Udaariyan should start @7. SSK rating went up, so it worked.
