Tripti Dimri is more popular than Samantha in India.

Tripti is also Nepotism ka case who got Bulbull cos she is dating Anushuka's brother.

I only recognize Samantha because of seeing Hosanna Telugu version in YouTube and I prefer the Tamil one with Trisha .

My knowledge about movies from South India is very poor so have never heard about Samantha. I read about her on this forum only. Saw some post here about her acting and the rave reviews that she is receiving and I was looking forward to watch her in FM2. I was disappointed with what I saw.

She lacked screen presence in my opinion. Everyone around her seems to be overpowering her, lack of dialogues can be one of the reason. Her face was expression less for most part, at one point of time I was least interested to know what is happening to her character.

No offense to her fan but she seems more hype than substance.

The thing about Samantha is... she is nice, I like her. I've seen her in Mahanati and Super Deluxe. But I don't think she's on Deepika and Alia's level ^ which was suggested by her fans here.

Samantha from what I've seen is better than/as good as half the Bollywood girls. BUT I have yet to see a performance to make my jaw drop. Off-screen she comes across very warm, and I like that.

Regarding her fame: I'm sure she is much more popular across the whole of India than many of her Bollywood counterparts... but I was talking strictly in terms of Bollywood audiences: they just don' know her, largely. They are more likely to recognise Tripti who was a much talked about debut of 2020.
