I will win that, but you can nominate yourself, no problem at all, a little competition doesn’t bother me 🤣🤣
We shall see 🤣🤣 the one who loses takes Jaanu 😆
What a terrible second prize 😆
I'd much rather take the Gunda-Ji award (the forum member who has the strongest urge to kidnap the characters) at that point and call it a day
On that note, if any of you come up with suggestions for awards, be sure to tag me and I will add it to the Awards Suggestions page!

Whats going on??
What awards?
Yeah
Their scenes are beautiful my fav being aashirwaad scene post marriage. Suman is so proud of her son at that time
I have a little story of my own .. kind of similar to kangankaand.
Kind of why unpopular opinion Shiva bought maami new kangans , however idiotic, was common resolution option.
Married into madhouse patel family (Was first nonpatel bahu- not preferred one, all kekta level kaands & karnames do happen in this family + extended large family forever.. never ending).
Have a dhara2.0 sort of version in m life- My husband's (he is youngest in the family)10 year older sister. in his family from sisters, to buas, to now nieces- no one has ever gone to sasural,. all bring in gharjamai.
When married & came to the US, had 0 idea what ai was walking into.
My mil-fil were only one back in India- 'store owners' - multiple locations :)
But yearly 3-4 visits to family in US was common for them. MIL accompanied me When I came to the US, to 'train' me. (cooking was not my forte or priority before marriage- was studying & working- no time. This family 3 full meals- you wake up & straight to the kitchen. Smell like Tel masala all day, if you go out, need to be back home by 3 to cook- in India/ by 5 in US)
Coming to kanganisque kaand:
My nanad's daughter's first birthday was soon after I came to US. We got all the gifts everything- but My Mil asked: get your jewelry box, Want to see something. Luckily all the gold & shadiwali jewelry we had already put in the locker. Only silver / Navratri jewelry was home with me.
She insisted above gifts: "dikri ne dagino apvo pade" (have to give jewelry to daughter/SIL)
I told her, we will get something from a local mall. & she said no: give from what you have. Don't make my son spend. (I was naive, stupid, idiot enough not to confront in initial years, wanted to gel in)
And she took a nice silver necklace- one which was given to me by my naani- an old vintage but classic gift. real solid one.
And she gave it to her granddaughter saying gift from all of us (my jeth that time was unmarried- nursing break up from white girlfriend as his family disapproved. we used to all live in the same house)
My dil, jaan was all hurt. It still is. My SIL doesn't care, she obviously has no value for the sentiments behind what this necklace was to me.
Later, during Diwali- My husband said lets get a new one- and we can ask sister to replace it.
it was a given as a gift after all & that was fair. (just like Shiva did)
We got it. We gave her. & MIL issues new farmaan: old one is for SIL's younger daughter, the new one for older one. Mama is supposed to do that much !
I am maami , but not the kind they show in the show. Been 18 years, I still don't have it. It still hurts. khatakta hai.
Kekta is omnipresent in my real world!
Mahi we are celebrating.
Iss sab samj jauge
Bhavna suggested we celebrate as we are quickly approaching 50th EDT. We decided we should be giving out fun awards to celebrate all the crazy discussions we have 😆
Gaumbi Ki Deewani has the strongest competition 😆
KD asked who is this constipation ki aalud that would search on google “is duct tape safe for keeping the poopy in”
have you met dev? 🤣🤣🤣

No matter how much I dislike Dev, today, he stole the show and my heart with his innocent apology. Let’s all assume at this point that we would always get half baked apologies from Dev. Dev has always been that blue-eyed boy who has been loved, admired and treasured by people for his softness, empathy and kindness. He has always been that boy who would be the favourite of teachers, girls, elders and everybody in the world. Dev has always been this boy who got it relatively easy due to his demeanour and charms.
Perhaps, that’s the one-upmanship he enjoys, and that’s what makes him simplistic yet diplomatic. The reunion of Ravi and Dev was equally innocent, where instead of closure or catharsis, we get a new beginning, rekindling an old friendship. This is Dev, who fought for Ravi and her rights with everyone around her. He was the hero of her life, and in his eyes, he was a dear friend. The metamorphosis of this friendship became an alternate reality for Ravi and hence all the confusion. Now that Ravi is past that phase of being in love, she can perhaps see Dave I am her old friend, Confident and support system. The scene was sweet, and Dave, as usual being Dev. Ravi laughed genuinely at him as he sweetly gestured an apology.
The hesitancy, awkwardness and the initiative was beautifully captured in the scene. I really admired the way they sentiments shifted from confined awkwardness to a familiar sense of warmth and smile.
He hesitates unsure of what to say!
I love this scene Where both of them hesitate to feed each other cake. These are kids who grew up together. Relationships do change over a period of time, however the essence and the warmth Remains the same. I have always felt the Dev genuinely felt Ravi was a good friend right from the childhood. His complimenting was genuine, he used to take care of her when she got hurt and above all he shielded her from Shiva. Unfortunately that care concern was mistook for love, and that brewed a storm in their lives. The dynamics may have changed but the essence of the bond is very unique.
This This is exactly what I had in mind yesterday!! Thank you so much for making this post 🤗 This is hands down my favorite scene from this episode!! Dev stole the show for me as well! I couldn’t help but smile and chuckle at their interaction! Personally, I prefer this scene over a half baked apology that attempts to be intense! It was all sorts of warm and beautiful! ❤️
It gave me that feeling of biting into a warm cookie during the holidays surrounded by family or sipping hot cocoa topped with marshmallows while watching a cheesy Christmas movies Like meeting an old friend after ages! You put aside all grievances of why they hurt you in the past or didn’t call in ages! And you give them a genuine smile! Initially it’s awkward but then the warmth creeps in! So so beautiful!
And both Akshay & Alice did such an amazing job!! I was so so impressed by this scene!! Nothing changes the fact that they grew up together and share so many childhood memories!! Dev’s dialogues today reminded me of little Dev’s cute compliment regarding Raavi’s dress! This is pretty high on my list of favorite haveli scenes! ❤️
