"Vansh, how the heck can you refuse to marry Ragini in front of the whole guests and media during your engagement ? You very well knew that how much profitable this marriage means to our company,but still you did this. How can you??"
Said an irritated Anupriya with disdain.
"Mom, you had asked me to agree for this marriage, not to marry her!! So, logically speaking, I didn't disobey you. Neither did I do something wrong!!" Stated a irritated Vansh in a no nonsense tone.
His mom stood aghast at her son's nonchalant behavior. She had never thought him to play so wisely.
For the first time she was tongue-tied.
Before she could say anything, they both heard a cry from the craddle placed near the bed.
Anupriya glared at the baby in the craddle and said, "Now I understand your sudden denial for this marriage. This baby is the cause of all this. Wait, I will give him to the orphanage!! You just wait and watch!!" Saying so she marched towards the crib.
Vansh was quick enough to push her and held the baby in his embrace as if protecting him from her.
Anupriya was astonished. She never thought her son could do something like this. She stumbled back and left the room fuming in anger not before muttering something colourful words to him.
Vansh looked at the 3 months old baby sleeping peacefully in his embrace. He sighed, he can't let anything happen to the only reason of his living. He wasn't able to save her, but, he could cross each and every limit to save this baby.
He kept the baby again in the crib, when Sia wheeled into his room.
Sia had heard and seen each and every thing that happened between her brother and their mother.
Even though she was miffed with her mother's reckless action, she needed to confront her bhai regarding that girl.
Entering the room, she saw Vansh sitting on the edge of the bed with his head hung low and his face covered by his palms.
She held his hands softly in her hands and called him out. "Bhai!!"
Vansh had never expected to see Sia in his room after what all had happened a year back. He still remembers that she had stopped speaking to him. Thinking it to be the her own punishment which she would be giving herself for bringing some one wrong in his life. And seeing her calling him and speaking to him after a whole 1 year, made his heart flutter with happiness and some unsaid and unconveyed emotions.
Sia looked at her brother whose eyes were almost moist seeing her after a year. She too felt it difficult to hold her own tears back.
Controlling herself, she said,
"Bhai, I know you are not over her yet. But, why are you punishing others for her betrayal. I am really feeling guilty of thinking her to be your true love, while, she just played with everyone's feelings and specially yours.
Please forget her and move on!!
There is no need of yours to still ponder over her memories.
She is happily living with her love, so you also do the same.
Move on Bhai!!!
Forget that you ever met any girl named 'Riddhima' !!
Just forget her!!"
"Sia!!", Vansh roared. He never expected Sia to speak such things about Riddhima. When she herself doesn't know the whole truth!!
He looked at Sia who was clearly frightened by his voice.
He was going to say something when he again heard the same cry from the crib.
He marked his steps towards the crib and gently started swaying the crib. But it didn't prove to be of any use and the baby still continued to cry.
Sighting, he took the baby in his arms and started craddling him.
"Shh....shh...look Ridhan, everything is fine....Stop crying baby...."
But the baby still continued to cry.
Exhaling frustratingly, he marched towards the almirah and removed an envelope from it from, while still managing a crying Ridhan.
Handing it over to Sia, he left the room without saying anything.
Sia looked at her brother in a daze. She wasn't able to understand anything related to Ridhan.
She always felt a sort of weird connection with him, whenever she looked at him. Ridhan always reminded her of someone really special to her.
She glanced at the envelope her brother had handed over to her.
She thought for a while and opened the envelope to find a letter.
She neatly unfolded it and read.
Dear Vansh,
I know you believe me to be a betrayer. I know your family, right now might be comparing me to a gold digger. And you would be thinking the reason behind my sudden change and also would be cursing yourself for not being able to make a proper place in my heart while I was successful in doing so....
So... without beating around the bush, I would like to tell you to believe me for once.
I know it wouldn't be easy for you to believe me but for once read this letter and then decide.
Trust me, I did betray you!!
But for your own good. I know that I wasn't successful in making my own place in your heart since you truly loved someone else!!!
And I also know that this relation was forced on you as you were keeping your promise to Sia.
I can't tell you who told me all this as I am binded to a swear. But if you ever considered me as your friend or maybe someone special, please call on this number.
Maybe I would have left you forever when you get this letter!!

After reading the letter it took time for Sia to register all the happenings.
She again read the letter and immediately called on the given no. which could help her to solve this so called mystery.
The call was answered after two to three rings by a male voice,
"Hello. This is Kabir Raichand speaking."
"Hello. Kabir. This is me, Sia Raisinghania. Sister of Vansh Raisinghania and friend of Riddhima." Answered Sia.
Before Kabir could say anything further, Sia was quick enough to ask him.
"Kabir, I know that Riddhima along with you betrayed my Bhai. But, today I came across a letter which is making me doubt my thoughts regarding her. Can you please tell me each and everything you know about this matter as she has given your number here. Please tell me."
Kabir sighted and said, "Sia, first of all stop calling Riddhima a betrayer. She loved your brother and never played with his feelings."
He exhaled sharply and said, "And coming to the letter part. I guess it's high time you know that me and Riddhima were never into a relation, infact she considered me as one of her good friend.
We had thrown up an act in front of you all that day so that you can believe that me and Riddhima love each other."
He paused after saying this.
Sia who was having a tough time controlling her tears, with a chocked voice asked him, "Why? Why did you both put such a show and that too on the day when Bhai was gonna propose her for marriage? Why?"
Kabir inhaled and exhaled audibly. He really didn't wanted to open the buried chapter of the past but never the less, he didn't wanted to keep Sia in dark for a long time and said,
"Sia, the day before, your mother Anupriya, had shown up at Riddhu's house. She didn't know that I was also present there and said that Vansh loved Ragini and showed her some of their intimate pictures. Riddhima was heart broken. She wanted to confront him. But your mother gave her your swear and asked her to keep mum. That's why we had to come up with this plan so that Vansh doesn't feel suffocated any more."
Sia wasn't able to believe the conspiracy that her own mother had planned against her brother but more than that she wasn't able to believe that how could Riddhima beleive in those morphed photos.
As if sensing her query over the mobile, Kabir said,
"We came to know that those images were morphed. But it was too late. And you shouldn't blame Riddhu for not trusting Vansh enough, as it was because of her those damn hormones ."
"Hormones??" Sia questioned.
"Riddhu was pregnant Sia !!" Were the last words Kabir said before the line went dead.
Sia wasn't able to understand anything when her gaze fell on a blue file peeping out of the almirah.
She carefully took that file out whose cover had Riddhima's name and sounded to be of an hospital.
As she read the file, she found out about the complications in Riddhima's pregnancy.
As she read further she found that Riddhima had delivered a healthy baby boy.
As she checked the birth date she found it to be that of Ridhan, and now she understood the reason behind the similarities.
Sia was quite desperate to meet Riddhima and apologize to her. When she came across another sheet of paper that fell from the file.
As she opened it, she found it to be Riddhima's post mortem report in which it was stated that she died due to internal bleeding two days after Ridhan's birth.
The earth slipped beneath her feet. She cried inconsolably.
That's when she heard some footsteps approaching her. Keeping the file and envelope again in the almirah, she wiped her tears.
That's when she found Vansh along with Ridhan entering the room.
Before he could say anything, she quickly wheeled out of the room
Today she understood that their love was too innocent to survive in this cruel world!!!
Love isn't always staying together..
