Nupur already went from 1993 to1995. Cant blame her as these 50+ heroes and indian audiences have a bias for younger actresses.

I understand that people can crib that their age difference shows on screen and they don't look like lovers....but if they do...then what is our problem.....Do married actors ...romancing on screen or making love on screen disgust you?? Probably the scene might but the actors...not right?? why can't age difference be taken in the same way??
No! they can't be taken in the same way.
Because there's a HUGE difference. We're taking about freaking 28-29 years age-gap being neglected and the pairing being passed-off as normal.
Actors playing psychopathic characters OR married actors romancing has nothing to do with that.
I said if the story-line demands such pairing then it should be fine.
Why are we mixing-up other things here?
Also, it's even not acting anymore because CGI is doing all the heavy-lifting here.😆 So, 50+ actors romancing 20 year olds will forever be creepy, to me at-least.
And even if we were to accept such pairings, the sheer hypocrisy gets more frightening because all hell will break loose if you reverse the genders and have a 50 year woman opposite a young man,

@ bold ....agreed.....the rest....at the end of the day its pretend.....but yes if a 55 year old looks like a 55 year old and a 20 year old looks 20..on screen...then it won't work.....just like in real life it will look like a mismatch....but if they are looking good and compatible....I don't care if the age difference is a 100 years....same in real life.....if a 20 year old wants to be with a 50 year old....who are we to judge....it is this kind of societal pressure that messes up people and forces them to conform to the man made norms...
And the fact that most actresses post 30-35 start getting roles to play mothers of 20y-olds.. that's double standards, that's problematic.
A 20yo romancing with 50yo.. that's her father's age.. downright creepy. 💔

Actually, NO normal 20-year-old would want to be with someone her daddy's age unless it's for money. Or because she's a groupie and the 50-something man is a star. Or because she's got daddy issues.
Such huge age gaps in relationships aren't normal. Yes, if someone engages in it then it's their personal life, but it shouldn't be promoted on screen.
Also, these 50-plus actors don't look anywhere near 20 on-screen. They look at least 40 and still keep pretending that they're 20. This is problematic because it reinforces the norm that a male star can be a hero no matter his age, but actresses have to be young and "fresh". It's extremely funny and uncomfortable to watch a visibly 50-year old play a 20-something.
This trend has got to stop.
Because fans and trollers sometimes are hypocrite people. I have asked this question on Twitter before and some said because Akshay Kumar is not a khan. Which itself is disgusting thinking. Its acting, which age gap should not even matter. Age is just a number.

This.👏 You've expressed my feelings better than I could've ever done.
I am amazed how FOR GRANTED "older-actor + younger actress" pairings are taken in general, and how NORMALIZED ageism faced by female actors is.🤔
Like we are just supposed to accept these pairings because it is just the way it is. Take it or leave it.🤓

It wouldn't be as big a deal if the audience wasn't so hypocritical. If it's a woman romancing a younger man then people talk so much shit. People had a problem with Rani romancing Shahid and she is only 3 years older than him. Same with Vidya and Shahid when Vidya is only 2 years older.
Then there's Hrithik who is older than both these actresses, Kajol, Raveena, Shilpa Shetty, Sonali Bendre, and Urmila but of course him acting with any of them would be unacceptable.
