CEO is the decision maker(now u know why GM is bankrupt) ,so that person can be the chairman or can hold any other post.

Welcome to the forum Archie!

I agree with Allegra. They probably wanted to use CEO instead of Chairwoman or Chairperson. It doesn't matter, because in this serial at least, the chairman was the Chief Executive Officer as well.
