Hi - I have been a silent member for sometime. Good to read all the updates and discussions.

Has anyone noticed that earlier (before J became the CEO), Arman was referenced as chairman and now his position (for past few episodes) has been refered to as CEO!!!

welcome Archie.. It is true, they have been stressing too much on the word CEO for the past 2 weeks.. just because it is one of the catch words I guess.. It just happened..

Welcome to the Indian serials, they change things in a heart beat. But i do think that there is a difference between a Chairman and a CEO. A chairman is the chairman of the board (which is shown to be Puru in Jassi) and a CEO is a chief executive officer that looks at day to day execution of the business. So technically Armaan was the CEO and not the chairman. They just corrected themselves.

usually the chairman of the board is the CEO. Well in most companies. Its always a variation of either being the president & chairman of the board, president & ceo, or chairman & ceo.

Maybe they switched from chairman to CEO because they did not want to use the term chairman for a woman?

Chairman of the board may or may not the CEO. In many professionally run oranizations, CEO may be a salaried employee with stock options. In family run companies, normally chairman & ceo positions are held by family members. Chairman of the board can be a non executive position as well like Puru.
