I meant why don't you ask your husband and kids to help out?

yes Namita we can not afford the help like in asia because it is very costly i only have the cleaning help once in a week since i can not do it by my self now but all the life we have been working like a machine realy non stop seven days but we had to trained our kids to do all house hold work if they have to do they are able to do it ,even now my boys and girls laugh which jobs mum used to do them so hard jobs . Allhamdulillah they are all successful by the career wise and very hard working they can afford the help but they are used to of it so only one of my daughter uses cleaning help because she is lazy .
😆 Guess should have worded it properly. My hubby and I divide the work. 50/50
We can do anything it’s not restricted. He can vacuum, I can mow the lawn. He’s a damn fine cook. My son is learning to start laundry and the dishwasher now.
Life skills! That’s the rule in my family. Everyone does their share.
@bold
Shouldn’t he put his foot in kitchen and actually cook or help in dusting/cleaning? Who is he to put his foot down? I’d understand someone who has 100s of responsibility putting his foot down and asking people to help him, but someone who does nothing can’t do it, just because he is her husband and our society gives him an upper hand
I totally agree and living in North America for decades, we do have an equal system out here. I am only stating within the scope of the Shah family storyline where at this point are shown old fashioned and less likely that their men will help in the kitchen, even though bapuji did help peeling stuff last week.
About vanraj putting his foot down, he brought kavya into to house and she is the main trouble maker who needs to be put in her place. He either moves out with her or makes sure she carries her weight in the house without causing problems.

Kavya carrying her weight? How about Van carrying his weight and his useless kids getting off their lazy ass and do something
