Exactly. Here I can't understand any growth with any person. If I randomly oick any episode, I won't be able to guess when this happened. They are almost the same from day 1.

Dadi progressed with time. Adapted with time as and when she realised the consequence and intentions. She stood with her balika vadhu against her own grandson.

The pain and confusion and contradiction, everything was shown in a clean manner.

Here, I will need a thought cloud to be sure on wat they mean.

Nthin has a clear closure or justification.

The very recent sai disclosing the past brought out no change in anyone. A real Pakhi would have maintained some distance from both of them. Here she is still glued to their door. No progress or sense of action by anyone.

That whole Devi-Harini track with both Sai & Virat forgiving criminals was just horrendous. And that is precisely what is wrong with this show. No one gets exposed here or even if they are exposed, they get away scot free. That is what most people are complaining about. They need to tone down the toxicity by a lot and focus on gradual changes. But something like that needs effort from the makers and this PH seems really not interested in that.

ITV and social message don't really go together. I have seen many shows over the years but I don't really remember any show that actually managed to send a message. Shows like BV still looks better compared to many other shows. In most shows, villains (especially if they are family) get away without any punishment, no matter how heinous their crimes are. That is precisely what is happening in Ghum. The only thing we can do is make the complaint and hope common sense prevails for both the authorities and TRP audience. Only if the TRP falls will there be any action from the channel.

The fact is in Ghum they just let it go in the same episode, not even a day of punishment. Not even words of punishment.

It is really weird that Anupama and Ghum are top 2 shows in ITV right now. Where Anupama got highest TRP when the FL divorced her husband and started focussing on her career with supporting in laws and children's and here it is daily abuse to the FL by their in-laws. Is the TRP audience at 10 pm and 8 pm so different??

Anupama shows high voltage drama with FL giving it back and the family supporting her completely. They show drama with a positive touch. Ghum shows drama with all sorts of negativity. From what I understood, TRP audience look for high voltage drama in shows. That is why Ekta shows used to rule at a time. But even the TRP audience get bored after a while with negativity and abandon the shows. That is what happened with shows like KKB and KDB. And Ghum seems to be going that route with extreme negativity, daily abuse and villains never getting punished. It would be really wise for the makers if they start showing changes instead of direct copy past. Otherwise it won't be long before TRP gets badly affected.

I think with Anupama, the treatment of a similar story is quite different.

All the characters are established very well. The behaviour is in line with it.

The drama is over the top many times but their is some amount of sense in the fight. There is logic and organic progress.

Like today, Kavya has a monologue seeking revenge from Anupama. Her actions won't shock us.

Pakhi has no sense or purpose in her life and actions. I can't correlate with her fights any day. I can't understand wat she wants and y she is doing smthin. The show in itself does not portray that. It makes some sense when there are post and analysis on them.

Portrayal An presentation An writing of the characters is better in that show.
