Part - 4
Bondita ran towards the party hall with Anirudh behind her. Her heart was beating with joy as she understood what her patibabu was going to tell her and she flushed with the thought.
Here Anirudh's situation was no less. He had gone through so much in the past that he had never thought, a love life would be waiting for him. Always thinking about the society and taking care of Bondita's future, he had forgotten to think about himself. But now his life is not incomplete he has his wife, his Bondita beside him and he blushed with many unsaid thoughts passing his mind.
Bondita met Sampoorna and Sourabh and both the sisters shared their blissful hug. Sourabh too complimented her and Bondita got busy in playing with the little son of the couple. Anirudh was watching her from a distance and was smiling at her when he heard a voice, "jamai babu" and he turned to find Sumati Maa. He touched her feet and was about to call Bondita but stopped and planning to surprise her, took maa inside the room and came to Bondita, and whispered in her ears, "ek surprise hai tumhare liye.. Chalo mere sath" and he literally drags her from there. And Sampoorna and Sourabh laughs seeing their antics.
Closing her eyes from behind Anirudh took her inside the room and when he put his hands down, Bondita's eyes got filled with happy tears. After all the person whom she loved the most after her patibabu was standing infront of her. She ran to hug her and the mother daughter burst into happy tears, with Anirudh adoring them from behind with moist eyes.
He wanted to see this excitement of Bondita and thats why he thought to surprise her like this. Sumati then kissed Bondita all over her face and looked at her with moist eyes yet feeling contented. Her daughter was not looking less than a princess and she smiled once again.
And this time looked at her jamai babu, grateful will be a mere word what she felt at the moment and said to Anirudh, "dhanyabad ek chota shabd hai jamai babu jo apne meri beti kliye kiya hai.. apne sachme apna wada nibha liya" and she was about to fold her hands when Anirudh held her hands and said emotionally, "ye kya kehe rahe hain aap maa?? mujhe sharminda mat kijiye.. mein bhi toh apka beta hun aur Bondita patni hai meri, meri zimedari hai aur ye sab maine jo bhi kiya woh mera farz tha aur maine toh baas usse himmat di hai.. Bondita aaj jo bhi hai apne kabiliyat aur atmabiswas k dum par hai..mein toh baas ek jariya tha usse is mukam tak pahunchane kliye." and he looked proudly at her. Bondita looked at him teary eyed and Sumati nodded her head and smiled. She then keeping her hands on her daughter and jamai blessed them," humesha ese hi khus raho tum dono." and the couple looked at each other and smiled.
Then Bondita ran happily to kitchen to bring sweets for maa and Anirudh asking Sumati to rest was about to leave the room when she called him hesitantly. Anirudh looked at her questioningly and she then said looking down,"jamai babu mujhe pata hai yeh baat mujhe nehi karni chahiye, yeh toh aap dono k bich ki baat hai lekin Bondita toh ab bhi bachi hai, woh samjhegi nehi shayed lekin badi ho chuki hai ho, aur sirf zimedari nehi, har maine mein patni hai apki, Roy Choudhuryion ki badi bahu hai, toh ab jab woh humesha kliye agayi hai Tulsipur toh apko nehi lagta padhai k sath sath usse ye sab rishte bhi nibhane chahiye??? Apke ghar walon ko bhi apne bahu se kuch ummidein hogi naa.." and before Anirudh could reply came voice of Trilochan kaka from behind,"aap thik kehe rahe hain samdhanji, mein bhi yahi baat Anirudh se karne ka soch raha tha" Anirudh nodded his head understanding both's concern. Kaka then went on saying, "jis halat mein tum dono ki shadi hui thi.." and then he said with a laugh, "ya phir mein ye kahun ki jis halat mein tumne shadi ki thi bahu se us baat ko toh ab salon bit gaye hain, bahu badi bhi ho gayi ab" and he said emotionally, "pata bhi nehi chala kab.. Samjhdar toh wo humesha se thi lekin ab ghar ki chabi ka guchha sambhalne ki bhi samjhdari agayi hai usme.. Ab toh mein ghar ki saari zimedari bahu ko sounp kar aram karna chahata hun" Anirudh smiled too with this but then kaka's expression changed and he said rather seriously looking at Anirudh, "beta mujhe pata nehi mein sahi kehe raha hun ya galat lekin mein nehi chahata ateet ka woh raaj kabhi bahu k samne aye.. usse acha nehi lagega yeh sab janke.. Woh tut jayegi agar woh sab ghatnaon k bare mein usse pata chala toh".
Anirudh's expression changed too, he had never thought about this earlier, how would Bondita react on knowing the truth of their marriage and kaka's word made sense, he felt kaka is saying right, this truth will shatter her happiness and Sumati too nodded her head. And Anirudh said emotionally,"aap sahi kehe rahe hain kaka, mein Bondita ko kabhi pata nehi lagne dunga ki humari shaadi kyun aur kis halat mein hui thi.. Uss baat ko wahin pe chodna hi behetar hai."
But nobody noticed in between their talks that Bondita had heard everything and was standing there confused thinking about what truth they are talking about. And she got upset too as the people with him she is most closed to are planning to hide a serious thing of her past from her. A tear escaped her eyes too as she felt bad.
But not wanting to destroy anyone's mood and the party, she plastered a smile on her face and entered the room holding the big bowl of sweets. But she was determined too to confront all the next day and find out the truth. After all she has all the right to know about all the happenings of her past.
Soudamini entered the Roy Choudhury Mansion and she burned with jealousy seeing the decorations. She got angry too and said to herself, "apko kya lagta hai Trilochan kaka aap mujhe alaxmi bulakar haveli se nikal denge toh mein wapas nehi aungi. Are Tulsipur toh kabka is baat ko bhul chuki hogi lekin mein aap logon ko mujhe itni jaldi bhulne nehi dungi..jaisa tamasha aap logon ne kiya tha na mera usdin esa tamasha mein karungi aaj. Soudamini agayi hai apna wada pura karne aur apki khusiyon mein grehen lagane.." and with a smirk she moved towards the hall.
Som and Batuk were in the stage cracking jokes and entertaining the guests when they noticed Anirudh and Bondita entering the hall smiling with kaka and Sumati maa. And an idea struck Batuk and he whispered the same in Som's ears and he too smiled nodding his head and announced, "jaise ki aap sab log jante hain, Roy Chowdhary ki ye party kis khusi mein hai.. Toh ab hum is party ki shaan ko stage par bulana chahate hain.." and the couple looked surprised with the declaration. And then Som went on, "so please welcome, Mr. Anirudh Roy Choudhury yani humare priya Anirudh dada aur unki dharam patni Mrs. Bondita Roy Choudhury yani humari pyari Bondita boudhi." Claps erupted in the room with the declaration and kaka nudged them to go.
Anirudh then extended his hand towards her to hold it but Bondita was not looking at him as what she heard in the room was still going on in her mind. And to bring her back Sumati kept her hand on her shoulder and Bondita noticed Anirudh standing extending his hand towards her and she hesitantly put her hands in his. And he tightening the hold moved towards the stage.
And Bondita felt all her worries vanishing with his touch, she looked at the man holding her hand and smiled, he has stood beside her in all thick and thin, he was not only her husband but her soulmate too and she felt a little guilty for doubting him and hoped the truth won't be so bitter and making herself strong to face it walked with him to the stage smiling.
As they both climbed the stage, Batuk took the lead and with a mischievous glint in his eyes went on saying,"toh ab jab ye attractive couple stage par a gaye hain toh party ko aur bhi attractive banane kliye ek couple dance toh banta hai.." and all the guests clapped and cheered for them on hearing it.
But Bondita went red hearing this declaration. She was thinking how to control her uneven heartbeats when he would be so close to her that too infront of all the guests and family members. But Anirudh's mind had already started dancing. And seeing Bondita's expressions his smile widened. Because he was enjoying seeing the red tomato infront of him. After all he loves the effect his closeness has on her.
An old tune echoed in the hall as Anirudh extended his hand towards the beautiful lady standing infront of him. And Bondita put her hands in his and he clasped it gently yet in a firm manner. Then he slowly slid his other hand across her waist below her long tresses and Bondita put her hands on his shoulder.
But as his cold hands touched the exposed skin of her waist, it sent shivers down her spine and butterflies erupted in her stomach and she tightened her hold on his shoulder to control the sensation and Anirudh smiled at her intensely and moved his legs matching the tunes.
It all felt as a dream to both having the person of their dreams in their arms. Anirudh was enjoying the moments fully but Bondita was feeling a little nervous, yet a contented smile was visible on both's face and not breaking the eye lock for a second, they danced matching each other's pace lost in their own fairytale.
The music stopped and the claps of everyone brought the couple back to the surrounding. And some of Anirudh's colleagues and friends hooted making both of them to blush. And as they both descended the stairs, they moved towards both to congratulate them and have a conversation. But something else was going on in Anirudh's mind, thus excusing himself he moved towards Som to share his plan with him.
He confessed Som about his feelings for Bondita and with a slight blush asked him to decorate the terrace for him as he wants to propose her and Som happily hugged him and ran to share this with Batuk and Anirudh stood there alone smiling at Som and then he couldn't help but think what would be Bondita's reaction on seeing all this and smiled like a fool. He was so much engrossed in his thoughts that he failed to notice the lady standing behind him and smirking. It was Soudamini.
Earlier in the party she was feeling much more envious that she had never felt before specially after seeing Bondita and how pretty she has become. And the dance, she was burning in jealousy seeing the couple dancing so gracefully. For a moment she felt the couple had moved ahead but she was clever enough to notice the hesitancy between them and to know more about the relation they shared, she heard Anirudh's conversation with Som and it felt as if she found a jackpot and smirking said to herself, "10 saal pehele ese hi ek raat ki tayari tum mere liye kiye the Anirudh lekin jese usdin mere sapne adhure rehe gaye the ese hi tum dono k sapne ko bhi mein kabhi pura nehi hone dungi.. Tumhare sare umeed tod dungi mein Anirudh Roy Choudhury, bilkul ese hi jaise mera bharosha toda tha tumne usdin. Agar tum mere nehi ho sakte toh mein tumhe kisika nehi hona dungi. Jaise Bondita ne meri jindegi bigadi hai na wese hi mein uski sapnon ko bhi bikhar dungi..aaj majak tumhara banega Bondita jaise 10 saal pehele Roy Choudhury parivar ne milkar mera banaya tha" and she smiled evilly already thinking of the plan.
Here not finding Anirudh, Bondita excused herself from his friends and went in search of him and thats when a familiar voice called her name and on turning she got shocked and scared too on seeing the person infront of her as some blurred flashbacks flooded her mind.
