If he didnt love Mahi or hadnt experienced love at all, then maybe he wouldve reacted to Sajals proposal differently. But since he also is in love, he can relate to her emotions even if he cant reciprocate them.

yes, that is the ideology here na, because the day he rejected sajal, he got rejected just a day before that, so he literally knew how it feels like to go through that process of being rejected, and therefore he goes easy on her, even assures her that it is not her fault, but his fault that he cannot accept her love, this scene indeed was a beautiful one.

However, had Farhad not been rejected and been in his happy state, I feel he would still reject Sajal in a respectful manner, I do not think he would make fun of her or just take that as a joke, but he would still not demean her for developing feelings for her.

OMG yes! In season 1 there was a scene where she says that not in this life, but they can be together in another life.

I dont want the same exact scene here. But something similar to it according to the situation.

Yes, they can show references of previous season and not necessarily it has to same as S1 but could be a similar context only, but for this to happen Mahi has to fall in love with him first.

Yes, there is a say, Allah tests His favorite bande, so yeah may be we can satisfy ourselves by saying that since Farhad is a good soul, he is being tested by Him and some day he will be rewarded for it, may be in the afterlife.

when he rejected Sajal, I am sure he did not even realize or believe that he was led on or even mahi did some mazak, in his head he still believed that Mahi was shutting him off because she feared her family, it is only in the library episode, where he actually came into terms with the fact that she indeed had no genuine feelings for him and that lahore thing was a prank and silly mazak.

Also, with Sajal, Farhad never led her on, so he did not need to feel the responsibility to convince her of her worth, but he still did and I think that is how he was as a person, he always respected people regardless of how he was treated.
