Well it won't embed if the post has more than 3 links.
I used to be able to add unlimited videos. When did this change happen?

It has been like this since the time there has been link embed feature introduced in the new site.

We have not made any change to the system.
Looks like a temporary issue when the page is not able to load all the files. So incase you are not able to tag most likely the page is an image heavy page (especially the giphy type).
Refreshing the page or simply using the Reply individual page should solve the issue.
