I don't understand the reason behind re-electing this Bal Narendra in 2019? Demonetization, GST, no press conference weren't enough to kick him out? Obviously he will target everything which can expose his 'hypocrisy ki seema' and cinema is one of them.
I can see that 2024 election will be totally crazy act with Allah vs Bhagwan twists. When state elections are insane, not hard to guess central election will be like a circus.
There were three big factors.
(A) If not Modi than who. Their was no one in opposition, who seemed worthy of leading the country to the public because well they aren't worthy and BJP was successful in making them worthless in the eyes of public. Although these people helped BJP more than enough themselves.
(B) Rural and village areas, where most of the Modi's schemes were implemented. Basic necessities like electricity, sanitation, house loans, low priced ration, health card, cooking gas, roads and so on were provided, which led to a very positive WOM among the lower strata of public. While obviously there were discrepancies, but the positive were highlighted more.
(C) the biggest factor was BJP was successful in convincing the public was that whatever it was doing was for the best for the country. They were successful in making public believe that whatever they are doing is good, and whoever opposes it is an anti-national element.
While the things you mentioned about demonitization, GST and no press conference, may seem like a topic for opposition but majority of the public blindly supported them.
Demonitization's implementation was a huge mess, but most of the Indian public see it as a curbing of black money. Now whether that is true or not, it is a different topic, what people perceived it is another. For people, demonitization was a fight against black money.
GST, most of the people still have no idea about it. So it was never going to be a factor.
Press conference, again, not a factor for most of the people.
I am not supporting or defending these things, just saying how majority of the public takes these things.
