Hope to see her back in movies / Cannes soon.

But great that she is enjoying this phase of her life right now and yes she seems less driven than her contemporaries.

I think she should do movies. Despite the limitations of her acting she always found interesting projects. Projects that are different than the typical hero garbage in bollywood. I don't think she needs to do movies. She can always just produce with her sister.

Also jealous of her for being in London.

I don't think Sonam's family is ready to give up on her. She and her sister would likely make more movies centered around her character, cast new talented actors against her (all the while making sure that their roles are written in such a way that they don't overshine her). The problem is that she wants to do good films with scope for good acting. But unfortunately she just doesn't have the skills to carry a film on her shoulders. If she had been happy to play flowerpot roles, she'd likely have a longer career.

lol neki kar aur dariya me daal

Instead of appreciating them for always promoting new actors and giving chance to not so famous actors / designers/ music dir etc, they are being blamed for taking them intentionally to highlight Sonam!! WAAH !! Lage raho !! 😆

I don't think Sonam and her sis are casting these actors out of the goodness of her heart, to bring new talent to a land parched for it. It's pure business at the end of the day. Fawad, Dhanush, Dulquer have proved themselves to be successful in their respective industries. And seeing that it's a business decision, she should cast a better actress in her home productions. Then there will not be a need to fiddle with the male romantic interest's role. Note that I'm not calling them heroes. Because they're merely male flowerpots in Sonam's movies. That is if she really wants her home production to make money. Or else she can go the Dev Anand way and keep on making movies out of her money. But it's really unfair to compare Dev saab with Sonam. He at least was a good actor in his heyday.

well I say good for them ( Sonam and Rhea ), enough of watching female flower pots in the movies, they are challenging the norms 👍🏼

And yes it’s business decisions so not really to only highlight Sonam in the movies.

The last time they cast an established Bollywood main lead was in Aisha when they cast Abhay Deol for a pivotal part. Unfortunately, Abhay threw such a loud tantrum about playing second fiddle, that even as a fan I was put off.

Bottomline? Sonam and Rhea have definitely tried their best to innovate the chick flick genre in India which many women have enjoyed. The films may have been hit and miss sometimes but it has created a new genre. And they give breaks to new male actors most likely because Bollywood male "stars" have outsized egos.

Who is she kidding with her 'AcTiNg CaReEr'. She was only acting of having an acting career.
