What's happening with Sonam's career?

It's been two years since her last film The Zoya Factor. What is she up to?

From her insta, it seems like she has settled down in London, UK. She did shoot for an indie film called Blind but the shoot was wrapped up in a month. No idea about when it's going to release. Also that film was shot in UK, so has she become reluctant to pursue her career the way she used to before marriage?

Tbh, I never thought of her as ambitious or driven

She was all “aah yeh I will do quality over quantity ….I wanna say in posterity not be the no1…blah blah”

But she didn’t deliver on that either …

I think she’s like ab jnr…not quite passionate or focused …will do work if she’s asked to do it …mostly vanilla parts that don’t need to much prep or research

I liked Sonam's choices in films - she brought chick flicks back (films like Aisha, Dolly ki doli, Khoobsurat, Veere di wedding). Did an LGBT themed film when it was still not legal - that was quite bold of a mainstream actress like her. Did good films like Neerja, Raanjhanaa, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.

More than anything she introduced Fawad Khan to Bollywood and she deserves a Padmashri for that very reason. 😆

Yes it did feel like her first love was fashion and not films, but I also think that she may not be getting good offers anymore, which could possibly be another reason for her lack of enthusiasm.

She did some good films but unfortunately, she's a limited actress.

She seems to have lost interest in her career so not sure if we will see her in a film anytime soon.

I think she doesn't want to engage in movies anymore. Honestly, i feel she should just focus on fashion. Movies ain't her arena.

She might be waiting for Blind to release before making other announcements and with the pandemic a lot of projects were stalled.

😆she wasn't a great actress.

Sonam may be enjoying her married life, this pandemic has changed priorities for people.

Sonam can start her own gossip + fashion channel. She will do good.

ITA agree with you on all points but her true legacy will always be indian fashion- she really put us on the map

I wouldn't credit her for putting Indian fashion on the map. She mostly wore couture and western outfits.

But she definitely had a passion for fashion in general and it showed.
