Now we are back in RR mansion..Hoping to see better days and story unfolding.

@bold, unfortunately they do on ITV, especially MLs and I am dreading this happening on the show. At least, Raghav doesn't lose his sense of reasoning and blindly believe one family member at the expense of another.

I too am hoping that being back in RR mansion and that ambience gives us what we have been missing.

Yes, it's such a understated way to get the message across, without getting preachy.

From day one, she might have been forced into the marriage, but she was never a bechaari, getting tortured by her zaalim pati. She meant what she told Krishna before agreeing to the 'proposal'.

She should have thrown the same damn laws at Vijay. There are laws that protect the rights of widows too. I know I'm overthinking a funny sequence, but I couldn't help read that in her line of 'mujhe mere ghar se nikaal rahe ho'

The more I think about the episode, the more I realize that honestly, I'm okay with all of it except the staff there. That also, at this point, is more confusion than anything else for me. Why were they there?? We barely see them in scenes where they should be there sometimes, so why such prominent focus here?

Pallavi is no Sulochana, I doubt she'd ever make him a punching bag. I don't think today falls in that category, because I think her frustration was so warranted. Like she told him she wants to make her own choices and is choosing him, goes to sleep, wakes up, and he's trying to send her off?! I loved the exasperated 'wow' when he handed her tickets.

Mild annoyance at today aside, I think the makers in general are mindful about keeping characters consistent. Also, what a great opportunity to show that an indulgent husband is not the same thing as a joru ka ghulaam. I feel some people unfairly equate the two things, as if loving, respecting and caring for your partner is somehow a negative thing. While Milind is often a joru ka ghulaam and I don't think Raghav will be, I definitely see him being quite indulgent. And that's great!

@bold, you've hit the nail on the head. I think this is what was jarring.

Yes, indulgence is important, on both sides. We see her do that with him too. It's healthy in a relationship, something special just between the two, who are allowed to do things with or for one another that they wouldn't let others do.

People who call that being joru ka ghulaam are often influenced by the patriarchal mindset. I hope the writers don't give in to the ITV trend of eventually turning the ML into a joru ka ghulaam. So far what he's got is perfect. Also, he lets his mother and sister get away with so much, and even Farhad, so why not his wife, his life partner?

Yup, the difference between caring husband and Joru ka ghulaam. It's sad that many times caring about wife becomes this Joru ka ghulam joke, even in real life, as if wife has no feelings .

There is another thing, women's anger is often taken quiet lightly, they are many times told, "Jaane do, ho gayi galati usse", women are human too, and they can get angry too

Great points, especially about women being told to overlook things. Somehow men being angry is seen as their right and women being angry is seen as them being unreasonable.

Patriarchy.

I know, I hate that. Sure, don't be a joru ka ghulaam (I doubt any self respecting woman wants her husband to be one, anyway) but it doesn't make you any less of a man to be open and generous with your affection. I hate that it becomes the same old joke.

Aaj toh I fully supported Pallavi ka gussa 😅

Well, Raghav likes her showing her haq on him.

Many a truth is told in jest and so was the case today. She was never a bechaari but not all women are in that position because of social conditioning.

Actually, she used to think that VD had an authority over her, like she needed to obey what he said. There is another difference, when Raghav told that Amma asked him to make her go, she questioned his thinking, why does he need to follow everything his mother blindly. Obeying parents or following their adivices isn't a bad thing, but doing so without thinking about other people/stakes involved is foolish

I do think it's getting progressively better though. I can't forget the look when she was heading to Kohlapur that day, yikes. I think they'll land on something soon.

I have noticed that they have toned down the contour and blush..they either blend it better now or use less..

I think her eyes will look nicer with a nice winged liner..they don't wing it enough..

That was such a lovely moment. His expression while telling Farhad no one had shown haq on him like this before. Such awe on his face. Beautiful- they managed to somehow give poignancy to the jhaadu pitai. I was impressed.

That's a great point and I read the scene that way too. It's good to respect your parents and listen to them but you need to use your judgement as an adult as to what you keep and what you disregard. Also, even if you choose to take their advice or suggestions, the way you execute it is up to you. While Amma asked him to let her go, she never told him not to talk to her about things.

It's a good lesson for him to learn but also in general a good message about marriage and sharing your thoughts with one another before making decisions that affect both. Pallavi pretty much drove home the point that she has her own opinions and wants to make decisions for her life. Raghav has been used to living on his own for so long and doing things a certain way because he never had to take other people's situations, decisions, or challenges into consideration. So while he's happy to have a family, he will also have to learn to adjust to people around him. There will be clashes in the beginning but it's normal and as long as all parties work together it will be fine eventually.
