Btw, do we even know who's funding the movie and who's the director? And what about the main lead? Noone else is announcing movies in pandemic but suddenly kareena , a hasbeen comes demanding 12 cr when even A listers are finding it difficult to fetch a decent job despite agreeing to slash their renumeration to half of prepandemic time. And where did this #boycottkareena thing happen?. I havent seen much of it on twitter. It's just this forum where i heard about it tbh. I somehow feel this is kareena's own PR at work to hype her up since taimur is old news and even the new baby didnt generate much fuss..

I wouldn't like Kareena to play Sita either, but not for the reasons you wrote.

Her marriage / relationships is her PERSONAL business & no need to drag them into discussions regarding her PROFESSIONAL activities.

i think shes too urban for the part and slightly over aged , anyhow kareena is a good actress and too too gorgeous so lets see.

All personal, professional stuffs & religious debates aside, she is just plain misfit for Sita! At this point in BW, nobody really seems to be the right one to play Sita IMO.

And what is it with these filmakers all around trying to create mytho movies? The whole decade from 2011-20 had back-to-back mytho TV shows. Spare the horror & misinterpretations!😳

No but you need a teen(or in mid 20s) actress with innocent image..Maybe Ananya or Tara Sutaria. Not a 41yr old. Sita was probably 17-18yo when she got married and in early 30s when abducted.

Tara Sutaria seems perfect.
