LOL yes... i was like haan bilkul normal hai 🤪🤪

To be fair I have had mostly guy friends growing up (tom-boy personality, growing up with brothers) and for the longest time I was the only girl in our group of 6 - and I remember when we moved to site for projects / work - it was fun chilling together. And I remember most people staring in my direction always because in looks I was not tom boy but personality ka kasoor lol - so i am sure people had weird thoughts.

Regardless, this particular interview was definitely "more than friendly".

People are well aware of Punjabis as well as the culture itself is quite dominating , but how much of the history is known outside of Punjab? School books main kyun nahi hai? Particularly when it has so much historical significance.. Punjab has been the worst affected in the past due to its proximity to the borders.

Baluchistan is purely Pakistan; but ask anyone.. most Indians won’t even know if it’s existence. Kabhi toh tha na India main.

Could perhaps put this down to India being so vast- it's essentially like the whole EU being one country.

There'll always be some part of history that's omitted in the books. Too much to fit in, and most folks don't want bigger textbooks 😃- there are very few who genuinely like history. States could probably fit in their own history in their own boards (like the MH board books you mentioned)

Re: Punjabi culture dominance, I'd essentially put it down to two things. 1- Delhi essentially became a Punjabi city post partition, and as India's capital, it's obvious there'd be an influence. 2 is essentially Bollywood, which was very heavily Punjabi dominated in its early days.

Also, as a Punjabi family based in Delhi, the chances of AVM's forefathers having migrated is quite high!
