It's of course a little different here in Mumbai- we have a fairly strong Sindhi population, and one of our suburbs (Ulhasnagar) was essentially made for refugee Sindhis.

There are lots of Sindhis in Delhi too. It’s not that we don’t know about Sindhis, inclusion school books is important. People are well aware of Punjabis as well as the culture itself is quite dominating , but how much of the history is known outside of Punjab? School books main kyun nahi hai? Particularly when it has so much historical significance.. Punjab has been the worst affected in the past due to its proximity to the borders.

Baluchistan is purely Pakistan; but ask anyone.. most Indians won’t even know if it’s existence. Kabhi toh tha na India main.

My mom studied in Maharashtra board.. I don’t know about the syllabus now. But she has mostly studied about Shivaji and Maratha empire only. She even knows that Shivaji raw onion, roti and chane khaate the. Baaki history ka dabba gol hai 😆

World history bhi theek se nahi padhai.. chalo I read other books too. Most people aren’t even aware of the holocaust.
