Only when you accept, you can respect somebody. So she is asking him to accept Mami😕
I seriously loved Raavi questioning Shiva about herself, I feel like she could have focused on that part because that was hard hitting, also maybe say to stay away from mami or how dare he get violent with her. That sickle part was not on and extreme. But to ask for respect for mami when she deserves none doesn't sit well with me. What was the point of telling her the kangan story if she was to ignore it? She cared more about mami's insult than her wrong actions. Let's not forget that although mami didn't force Shiva's father to do what he did, she played a real part in it. The family are without their dad for it. So I don't really want to give mami the benefit of doubt.
I can understand the tough position Raavi's in, but no one's asked her to leave mami. She came to the haveli didn't she? What has she been doing? Trying to cause trouble and break the family. She's obsessed with Dhara more than anyone else. I found mami right sometimes too, and have said so, so we should definitely not forget her venom just because she loves Raavi. I appreciate Raavi trying to stop her, trying to explain to her, but it's abit like everyone else in the Pandya family - it's always half to the point and goes nowhere. There's a few places where I feel she could have spoken out more too.
And honestly if we can get annoyed at Shiva for blindly trusting and supporting Dhara, we can do the same for Raavi and mami's situation. Didn't Dhara also raise Shiva? Dhara only just got annoying and weird recently, mami has been trying to spread her venom since forever. I also didn't like the whole whatever she does is for me thing - it's like trying to justify mami's disgusting words about Shiva. But again, her explaining to Shiva what mami means to her, her talking about how she raised her was the way to go - not to tell him to respect her but say just stay away from mami for Raavi's sake as she's being torn.
I still find Raavi to be the most empathetic and compassionate, and I hope one day she'll see that Shiva doesn't hate her but does take it out on her. It's a cycle that desperately needs to break, he needs to learn! The thing is Shiva isn't a sorry type of guy, he's more like doing things without letting her know type of guy...an ITV FL as we keep saying 🙄.
My mum has a theory about what'll happen. Someone here touched on it. I won't like it, we won't like it but as she explained it may be necessary. I'll maybe say what it is if it comes true. But our guesses never come true anyway lol.
If someone asked me to respect a person who has been detrimental in my life...I would tell them to seriously f off. And if I ever saw my mum be this harmful to another person, she's getting called out, not in a small way but a big way. And I'll be doing that because this behaviour isn't on, my mum herself taught me better and I love my mum. Mami raising Raavi is exactly why she should call her out.
I hope he doesn't forgive mami, and Raavi needs to stop expecting it. She can however expect him to treat her better, and he needs to reflect on that big time.
