I have a feeling there was some point in his childhood where he knew Raavi wasn't a terrible person. Some point where he might have even developed something along the lines of admiration/beginnings of a crush. But perhaps, she said something, reminding him of her relationship with Maami, in which he realized that it is better to never get close to Raavi or else his heart will break as Maami's family is known to do that.

One dialogue he said when she is about to go in front of the truck . Mami ki behen ki beti hai dard tho degi hi after the bangle pricks him . God knows if writers will explore childhood scenes once they are back in mumbai .It would be fun to watch .

I'm hoping her diary is full of Shiva and just has minimal passing mentions of Dev 😆
