I think they have no story to deliver,their contract had fulfilled its time lapse,they need to give Rahul a break. So now if they give a descent ending then atleast fans ko yeh sukoon toh milega..that they ended it up nicely.

There is a bts of Riddhu unconscious and Ishani with that green box and golden rose. What if riddhu is attacked and kept hidden somewhere by Ishani? Maybe Ishani got to know it was Riddhu who gave her name for forged documents.
