Is Guzaarish a cult classic?

It has to be recognized as a classic before it gets cult status. I highly doubt anyone even remembers this movie now, including most of the fans of the lead pair.

It was very disappointing after all the hype that it garnered at the time of release. And i dont think it was critically acclaimed either.

For SLB it was another misstep after Saawariya and was part of his worst phase, despite being touted as his comeback.

That movie gets quite overhyped in IF by Aish/HR fans. It was a very uninspiring copy anyways.

Are you talking about Me Before You?

While watching it the first time, even I thought this is "inspired" from Me Before You. But then I got to know that Guzaarish was released in 2010 & Me Before You (the original novel) was published in 2012.

Is there any other novel / movie with the same premise?
