SRGMP was always a show above all these shows. It had that heritage classical music flavour. But VJ's....

Sorry to say but this way they'll destroy the whole show. Because it's different people never stopped watching the show. It always remained a popular show. But these celebrity guests..... they'll ruin the show.

I don't like the direction Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is taking

its kinda surreal with all these boys and gals lip syncing ... best is seeing them sing as in S I N G live ...

quite obviously with all hoopla happening with live stage dance and sign stuff ... SGMP resorted to the lip sync ... in a way good ... those who saw the singers trying to perform live on stage and trying to sing at the same time in Fame Gurukul would readily agree ... the result was really awful ! i can sing better in a cold shower than that!!!

Every good thing comes to an end. Perhaps SGRMP had reached its peak and its downfall has started now. I can't say about others but if this trend of bringing madness in the show continues, I will definitely not watch this show and rather do something else. After all Gajendra Singh can't force people to watch whatever he feels he is going to offer to us!! 😡 He has become over-confident with his success and thinks that audience will accept anything. He forgets that inspite of MTV, FG, II and so many other popular shows SRGMP had created for itself a different kind of place and audience and that made it so popular because it used to focus on PURE music but not anymore! May GOD give him "sadbudhhee".

I agree that the show has turned into performance orientated. Even though the singers for the most part are much better than those of FG, the authenticity of the show seemed to slip off a bit.

I remember when I was fifteen years old, I had a family friend who had Zee record episodes so I could watch. SRGM (w/ Sonu) so very much centered on classical music that I taught myself many things and elements from that show. "Kesariya Balama" (not from Lekin!), "Laga Chunari Mein Daag", "Man Tarpat Hari Darshan Ko Aaj", and "Poocho Na Kaise" being the most commonly selected songs amongst the batch. I miss the raga and tala round. The show was very tranquil at the time and that show was like an affordable music video whether it was learning how to sing, different songs, and how to play the tabla (as I was picking tabla at the time).

Now, it seems like "Sun Zaraa" and "Jeene Ke Hai Char Din" are the common numbers. Recently, it's more focused on finding "tomorrow's playback singers" instead of finding a great singer.

Same here with me. I watch this prgrame for the class of music they give us. It was always based on some classical music. I would like them to stop all this celebrity rounds and get back to what they were always...
