I’m aware there are more important things to discuss about the current story line . But can’t help writing about this Loved Virat’s and Sai’s costume today there were not twining but the colours were so complementary to each other . I used to wonder why is Virat wearing those 80s Rishi Kapoor wala sweaters in this hot season .

But I really loved his stripped T today typical French tees. ❤️Loved Sai white and purple suit she was so regal and bright like a knight is shinning armour ready to be at war with CN family . I know it was a high tension scene today but can’t help admiring their costumes .

Yeah, it's really charitable to the writers to attribute Virat’s actions to layered complex character motivations. His actions are wholly dictated by what the plot requires at any given moment - abusive when he needs to be, dumb when he needs to be, caring when he needs to be, etc.

Just as they did for GoT (if you watched that).

Writers pulled off the con of the century 😆

I guess this is what Virat was supposed to be like - to make it easy for the plot. Well, I can't root for SaiRat or this show anymore. Unless they show Sai walk out and live her life...(which they won't show)

GoT(the show) was a prime example of how to f*CK up characterization. They missed the nuances that were there in the book - leading to the mess that it turned out to be. The book on the other hand is so consistent, beautiful in characterization...I'm sure even Dany's 'breaking bad' phase will be written convincingly (if the remaining books do see the light of day)

@ bold exactly why I stopped watching, I was watching for Sai but they’re not doing justice to her character by not making her walk out.

This is too sad, i mean it normalizes abuse, tells young women that this is okay & imo, if i interpret & write abt it, then i am turning a blind eye to abuse too.

Some.basic characters of a person should be retained and then there should be progression or digression maybe based on situation or circumstances. But the core characteristics cannot be like a pendulum and if a progression is shown, digression cannot be shown without a very strong reason

The writers of the entire ITV needs a course is story telling I guess.

I had a different view when I watched the episode actually. I think that is what is Virat's character, it is in his nature. Will try to post an analysis later and tag you too if you are interested.

It is not a justification but a way to look at a person like Virat.

But as you have said, the writers do need to get enrolled in a course. We can't decipher everything through his expressions.
