As far as I have seen the epis initially she never wanted to get married and wanted to focus on herself + BS also have said k even if she wouldn't have been there BS and Malini would have had a fallout due to their incompatibility issues.

So if he is taking the same due to incompatibility issues it would have been much better but his reasons keep on dwindling from incompatibility with malini to love for Imaliya to correcting the Wrong's he had done to Imaliya
