Beautiful, touching and poignant post.
It's sad that there had to be a choice.
But in reality it's Shaurya who suffered the most.
It's easy to say circumstances, Devi-Tej manipulated the situation- but in the end it's what Aastha CHOSE that set her son on a life on suffering.
She has suffered, undoubtedly. But she channeled the suffering into her own biological parents and nurturing other students in her area of teaching.
Shaurya physically has everything.
But is mentally and emotionally bare.
And That Is Crushing.
Aastha atleast grew up in a loving home, married the love of her life and had a child with him whom she spent the first 4/5 years in happiness.
What exactly has Shaurya had?
Devi could fill his mind with muck day in day out - but his absentee parents non action in his life spoke volumes.
No one's suffering can equal to Shaurya's.
Your parents are the backbone in your life, without them you're literally blowing the way the wind takes you.
Anokhis father and brother maybe abusive - but she had genuine love and support from her mother and sister.
Shaurya literally had NO ONE. Every single person in that house and his life are only physically present for him as long as he unconditionally abides to their expectations.
Otherwise, look at the uproar as soon as he once stepped out of their comfort zone. Even his father has suddenly grown a voice.
I say this as a child of absentee parents myself from the age of 5years too. And my parents lived in a different country to me and visited every now and again.
