Don’t know which horrified me more - sawai’s off-key & flat rendition of a classic song, or the judges reaction ! Forget pointing out the flaws, they went gaga over it & he wins against Arunita!!

Arunita as usual was flawless, amazing variations & her voice modulation is just awesome, it brings in the feel of the song.
Nihal was damn good, sayli not upto her level, though she was still good.
Danish did well,though personally his song grated my ears as usual at some places.
Anjali was technically perfect, but I have heard much better renditions of this song.
Looking forward to Tu chanda & kalank song by aru & pawan tomorrow.

Vishal + Neha rolled into one = Anu Malik. 😆 ott.

Did not enjoy this much awaited episode.

In my opinion Sayli did not do justice to Asha Bhosle song O merr Jaan Maine haha. Just proved she is not perfect in singing asha bhosle songs.

Danish - was alaap necessary in mukhda? should have just kept to high pitch

Anjali was much better today. could be due to her father not there so she was relaxed??!!!

When winner to be announced, he came to stage very confident but when they announced "tie", he was not happy.

Could not understand why Sawai declared winner.

Arunita was better than him.

A tie would have been appropriate.

Nihal-Speechless! Easily Nihal's best performance of the season outside Roja Janemaan. Kya sur lagara tha. Simply outstanding. He maintained the feel of the song very well. Performances like these are why I feel Nihal has a lot of potential but chooses not to apply himself sometimes. Regardless excellent job today!

Sayli-Nihal gave his best performance of the season but (unpopular opinion) Sayli matched him. I actually really enjoyed this performance. The mannerisms, expressions, and the sass in the singing were all completely on point. It's a shame Sayli and Nihal didn't tie but I definitely understand why they went with Sayli for the win on this. The inflections in her voice are simply so hard to match and that is why she is one of my favorite singers in this competition.

Danish-Old school Danish was back. He was just flexing throughout this song. His best performance in a long time! The ending was epic and I just wanted the song to keep going. Now this is not the best rendition of this song (that honor belongs to PVNS Rohit from season 9) but I really enjoyed it. I even enjoyed the alaps as well

Anjali-She started off shaky but the ending was extremely well done. Classical is definitely her genre and she proved it with this performance. It was also better than her 1st attempt at this song earlier in the season. However I still feel Danish deserved the win but regardless Anjali sang well today.

Sawaii-OMG who are you and what have you done with Saiyaan? One of my favorite songs of all time butchered!! I can't believe people actually liked this performance. I coudn't wait for it to end. Sawaii tried to save himself with the screeching at the end but there was no sur, taal, or feel to the song. I can't believe he actually won that round over Arunita.

Arunita-I am a hardcore Arunita fan but this was her weakest performance of the season. It was a very restrained mellow rendition of a classic song. I know Arunita can sing better than this and the promo for tomorrow showed me that. Maybe she was trying to relax her voice? Regardless it was the most disappointing performance of the night. However even her weakest was better than Sawaii's performance.

Still feel they are gonna try and keep it tied so that boys and girls are equal but we will see.

Overall good episode. First two battles were incredible. Arunita vs. Sawaii was disappointing.

Nihal was extraordinary. Dil kya karey.. wow

Pawan and arunita are worst singers, they missed sur many times, there was no feel at many places in the song. Pawan and arunita will be shown door of elimination.

To me the scoring system based on 1 girl vs 1 boy was not a preferred one for this competition. Actually each one is competing with all other in this show; so, result between 2 performers can distort voting pattern for others. One might not win against another but yet could perform better than winner of a separate competitive pairs.

Nihal: Liked his performance. His song was very soothing to hear last night.

Sayali: Sang well as usual. The song has uneven voice bouncer now and then in its structure. In couple of times, her singing didn't seem to be very soothing during her attempt to address those bouncers.

Danish: Overall good performance. However, by my nature, melodious music attracts me more than zabardast stage tode performance. Didn't like his high note singing part that much.

Anjali: Liked her performance. She was brilliant. I am happy that at last the makers are giving sort of importance to this little girl.

Sawai: I am yet to understand whether I liked his performance or not. He was quiet and calm while singing but somehow I didn't get the feelings of this song. He tried high note with a controlled and composed way that I liked.

Arunita: Liked her singing as usual but the expected 'wow' part in her singing was missing. Expectation from Arunita is always high. We expect her to come and score boundary and over boundary every time. She was little conservative this time and focused on singles 😊

I will not comment on the individual competition between girls and boys. I think this was not correct. Cumulative score of girls team and boys team could be a better way for this Girls vs Boys episode without affecting the voting pattern.

However, it seems as per plan, the makers confirmed equal score for both the team at the end of day 1. Let's see, what is left in day 2.

The episode could be designed differently. Only 6 songs in more than 1.5 hours! The long advertisement breaks were very disturbing.
