Is Smriti an opportunist?
Smriti Iraani, who has been in the limelight with her comeback in the great Indian family drama Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi, has opted out of Zee's Teen Bahuraniyan.

When she decided to return to Balaji Telefilms; her decision to quit Teen Bahuraniyan came as an obvious move.

Some time back Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani had a fallout when Smriti turned producer and began churning shows. Soon, Smriti was out of the saas bahu saga Kyunkii.

She then decided to join Teen, which is on the same time slot as Kyunkii.
As she is one of the most popular faces on small screen, the storyline was completely changed to make Smriti the central character. The promotions too were shot around Smriti's character in the show.

In fact, there were several stories of the outdoor promotions of Kyunkii and Teen being held at the same time and the same place too.

But eventually, Smriti and Ekta buried the hatchet like a Balaji plot and became friends again. Smriti returned as Tulsi in Kyunkii replacing Gautami Kapoor.

"She left Teen because she could not do both the shows in the same time slot. So, when she was contemplating the idea of making a comeback in Kyunkii, she made it very clear that she wouldn't be doing Teen any more.," said a source.

Hemal Thakkar, the producer of the show confirmed, "Smriti is no longer working in our show Teen though we had a wonderful time working with her." When asked whether this was because of her re-association with Kyunkii, there was an uncomfortable silence after which he continued, "It might be the case. Competition is the fun of television.

When she joined the show, we had a clear idea how her character would shape up and to what extent it would continue. As she is a big actress, the story was woven around her. As she has quit after playing Vrinda for around 54-55 episodes, the story will be a little different now."

Is there any sign of her coming back as Vrinda? "We don't have any clue. It all depends on the story," he said.

So wats the big deal...in life everyone has the right to take decisions considering wat is best for them. So definitely being a human smrithi also has the right to choose the best options for her, when a better option is there for her, y should she go for the less better one? And anyways, in television this is no big deal, ppl keep quiting and joining shows, and depending upon the character, either the character is replaced or ended!
