Yes... these things are a norm in society unfortunately and just not restricted to small towns or villages but also in big metro cities ( cases are less but still it is present)..
Also, a lot of you'll here say Virat's profession should have been anything but IPS.. I would disagree here and no offence to anyone.. BUT a person's education & profession unfortunately totally unrelated in such cases..
Have seen highly educated people in esteemed professions, financially well off behave worst than an illiterate poor small town/ village person.
Patriarchy and mindset to conform to the so called "societal norms, rules, etc" are so in grained in their minds while they are growing up that even the new generation don't find anything wrong in that... And although these patriarchal rules are made by Men, its the sad truth that its women who carries them forward and make sure they continue and are obeyed like a legacy.
In ghum case its Bk... and only a woman can harm another woman in worst possible way without guilt and regret.. And add Pakhi to this category ... she too is educated, so called modern girl but she too did not have an iota of guilt instead defended Bk and the reason she gave was disgusting and even shut SaiRat.
