Feel sorry for Kirti and Nishit. They are being played by their Friends, family and fate.
they have never opened up because of their own insecurities. Nishit knows some of her insecurities then why didnāt he atleast say things to assure her or propose her? Does he really have girl friends or is he always pretending..or he realizes whatās an casual affair versus whatās going to get real and he is scared?
I am shocked Kirti goes and marries Mayank..at the hospital I almost thought Nishit and Kirti were heading to registrar office..you totally took us by surprise twist.
Mayank is now acting indifferent seeing Kirti helpless? Or he is realizing his was one sided love and wonāt be reciprocated? Now that he is married, will he change his stance? I am dreading to see this phase..or read about the torment they will go through.
So urmi knows Kirti is her daughter and still harbors no feelings for her..and she plans to play with Nishit feelings. Talk about enemies around you..there are several who want to brake them apart and probably successful. Will that be the end of their love story? Hope not..
hope all is well ok your end GN. Have a great day!
Loved your comment Ani!! They are definitely played by the 3Fs and their own insecurities. I completely agree with your assessment of Nishit. To add to it, I also feel he has had his own struggles. Kirti's views about him regarding how he has got everything easy in life is biased by her own prejudices.
About Mayank, I have mixed feelings. He seems to be a good guy. Wonder how Kirti managed to convince him? I don't think he is acting indifferent, though. Maybe he has sensed Kirti's discomfort and just wants to get her used to the situation (which she created in the first place). Dread is a mild word to define what I am feeling about this phase and everything that's coming after it š³
Binged on all the parts, GN and boy am I speechless or what!!! I don't even remember pausing to hit the like button.
Phew! I don't know what to say!!! Really, I feel like taking a belan and knocking some sense into Kirti. I actually felt she was being more than a little selfish here. Granted, she has no support, still, marriage is serious business. Does she realize she would just hurt more people in the long run, first of whom is going to be little Radha. God, I can't imagine the hurt she is going to feel if and when Kirti decides to exit the marriage thereby putting an end to the 'official' relationship she is going to share with the little girl. *Slapping my forehead hard*
I really wished Nishit and Kirti could talk without letting their egos get between. Maybe at least a little.
Kirti is a little immature, I feel, with a house-sized chip on her shoulders. What to do, doesn't look like she is going to grow up anytime soon. š
Nishit is another whole new ball game! I don't know what to make of this man. A scene from an old(and terrible) Tamil movie comes to mind. The scene is the heroine, wearing the ghagra around her shoulders trying to get into the water of the lake for a swim. She doesn't get in because she is scared...and the way they show that is of her dipping her toes in the water slightly first then immediately taking it back. She does this quite a few times!! My point is why is she near the lake when she is scared to swim?!! Nishit puts out feelers quite a few times but then again it seems like he blows hot and he blows cold all the time. Plus he doesn't seem to like to make anything clear. He is so indecisive. I don't know what to make of him at all!! No wonder Kirti is confused.
Okay, done with my rant at Kirti and Nishit. The only other person is Urmi. Will save it for later š
It was wonderful reading, GN. Thoroughly enjoyed reading all the chapters. I loved the progression of the story though I don't see any way for our protagonists to walk together anytime soon if ever. I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us.
P.S.1. I've been watching quite a few Thai-laklorns šāŗļøThank you for the introduction.
P.S.2. I go by Sandy š

Its all relative. For someone who has to worry about having enough money to do everyday things, basic stuff that many take for granted, a worry over if someone would find your palm too wet may not really seem an issue or a struggle. Not saying that is the only thing he may have struggled with.
I agree with both of you, dread is what I feel about what could be in store for Kirti.

True, if we compare the quality of struggles, Kirti wins. Hands down!
Nishit was quite and reticent even as a teenager, even when he was in his circle of friends. The first year when he was Kirti's bench partner, he barely spoke to her. I think it was more because of his own insecurities rather than arrogance. But once he started understanding Kirti's real nature (e.g. the sports day incidence) he eventually started opening up to her. They were on path to being good friends. However, every time they moved a step ahead something or the other happened which pushed them 100 steps back. And each setback, I think, only added to Nishit's insecurities.
Nishit has feelings for Kirti. There are no two ways about it. But why hasn't he ever expressed them? What's the worst that can happen? She won't reciprocate. But isn't it better than being shunned? Maybe he was unsure about his own feelings, and when he was sure, it was too late (Diwali party fiasco). I wish Kirti had let him explain.

Dread is what I feel about not just Kirti but for Mayank too.
I don't know why I keep fearing for Mayank's safety now.
Also if Mayank truly loves Kirti, I would hate see his heart broken. And imagine if Kirti wants out of the marriage, how will she face the Ojhas, the little girl Radha and their friends around in the area.
If Rimjhim's harsh words affected her so much, how will she face what Ojhas might tell her.
Well said Anita, surely Friends, family and fate have played a cruel game in Kirti and Nishi's life.
All through, by the time Nishit gathered some courage to talk to Kirti, one of the above mentioned F played their cruel game and the two parted without saying anything to each other. And now it has reached a stage where almost every door for them to even talk has closed.

All valid points, Kavi. Mayank is an actor. So I wonder how will this marriage news affect his reputation & acting career. Not that there is anything wrong with getting married, but negative publicity could ruin his career.
Kirti acts first, thinks later. I understand the duress under which she took the decision. But this seems like a pattern for her. Her actions, directly or indirectly, lead to some kind of mishap. Then she blames herself (or Nishit š) for that tragedy and takes emotionally driven decision, without thinking of their long term effects. Her decision to marry in haste, like Sandy said, was immature at best. And why should Mayank pay the price of being her friend? He wasn't ready for a marriage, regardless of whether or not he loves her. She has jeopardized many lives with this decision. She should been practical and rather focused on getting a steady job and arranging funds for her Dadi's rising hospital costs which is going to be a problem very soon.
Interesting discussion. So many valid points ā¤ļøHere are my thoughts.
This marriage is by coercion right ? Mayank is aware she has no romantic feelings for him , so why this sheet of paper will change stuff for them. Just forces them to live together, will it lead to them develop ing feelings ?
Will Kirti now discover herself., develop dormant feelings..then maybe it is good she never accepted Nishit marriage proposal. If not then Mayank (assuming he has feelings) is better off in the long run then being in a relationship which is a compromise.
Regarding Radha..it is not the best situation. But Kirti cannot be in a relation because of that. Just like couples cannot be in a marriage they dont want to be for their kids sake. Child hurt more when relationship is unhappy.
An impulsive decision maybe this will finally make Kirti grow up and not look at things black and white. Like you all said this marriage would have ramification.
Nishit actions in school were not the best..but can one really hold that against him. We all have have done things that may not be our best behavior.
His college behavior was commendable. But then has a habit of backing off when Kirti does not reciprocate. He has made effort since he came back and they met again . But not fully.
She declining his proposal and accepting Mayank to him means she has no feelings for him. Maybe he too will grow up and will let go.š

Exactly! And So true what you say about Mayank paying the price for her decision. He didn't want the marriage. I understand that she was under duress. But this decision affects her life. I now, really wish that she gives marriage and Mayank an honest chance.
As of now, the best way ahead for Kirti would be to give this marriage an honest attempt. Maybe she will fall for Mayank gradually and vice versa (if he does not have feelings for her now) and they could live happily.
If she does not give a chance, it is just very very unfair on her part, for not just Mayank, but for his entire family.
Imagine if Kirti divorces him, the kind of negative impact it will have on the entire Ojha family. Mayank will be called a divorcee, his parents had to go through one son going to jail, elder DIL eloping with another guy leaving behind a baby and now the younger son getting divorced. No parents deserve this.
Kirti has taken a decision and she needs to stick to it.
For now Nishit is a closed chapter in her life.
I am assuming Nishit too has accepted that Kirti is a closed chapter in his life. He grieved for few days and looks like he too is moving on. And he should.
Kirti always took decisions in haste and good or bad, right or wrong, every person has to face the consequences of their decisions.
Same way Nishit never came clean to Kirti and he too must have understood that not acting in time can also lead to heart breaks and failures.
