In the recent few days i have seen alot of people on social media critisizing Pallavi and her love for D-fam and also her choices. So i just wanted to tell a little story of her side, to explain some of her feelings and her point of view. No hard feelings. Hope you all like it.

NIGHTMARE

It was cold and uneasy as she shifted from the bed to the window in order to close the window. The wedding rituals ended hours ago and currently she sat on her husband's bed decked up in a beautiful marathi bride in a yellow dress. This was actually her Aai's dress, her birth mother's and last of her blessings that she was left off with. Getting back to the bed she sighed, still no sign of her husband, Mandaar. It was wierd of his to leave her here alone on their wedding night but Aai, his mother, who had now become hers, told her that it was urgent. Some shop business that baba wanted him to attend.

It was heartwarming that a day had changed so much in her life. A day before she just had her dada and bhabhi in her life but now she had a full fledged family that she had always yearned for and all the credit went to her husband. The man who chose to fill colors in her life. She smiled at a picture of him that was kept on the bedside table, holding it up she admired this man. Up until now she had realised that he was a full of heart and a friendly person. Yes they had started with an arranged marriage by their families but amid all the rituals these two people had become friends and had promised to be friends for life while taking the seven rounds around the holy fire. But something didn't feel right at this moment.

It had been past midnight and almost dawn and her husband hadn't returned yet. A few moments later she heard commotion outside her room door and she felt someone lock it from outside. Standing up she went to the door trying to pull it as she shouted for someone, atleast someone.

"Aai?Baba? Koi hai?" she shouted but got no reply.

"Mandaar aap hain kya? Yeh darwaza kyun band kara hai?" she asked but nobody answered.

She tried pulling the door but to no vain when suddenly the door opened lightly like never closed. She looked around in the corridor but no sign of any human. The place felt cold and deserted as she made her way outside. 5 minutes ago she could still hear the guests buzzing but suddenly there was no one, as if they just vanished. Her heart started beating fast as an ache made its way to her chest. It was wierd and painful. Walking down the stairs with slow steps she saw her Aai and baba standing in the compound with stone cold eyes and her family too. Nobody spoke a word as she called out to them.

"Aai? Baba?" she called out for them.

"Kaka? Kaku? Mansi? Nikhil?" she tried the others but nobody turned.

Her mind feared as it consumed negatve vibes. No guests were around all of a sudden. Just them and suddenly it was all dark, everyone faded away while a strong light fell on something on the floor. There was a white sheet lying on the floor.

"Aai yeh kya hai?" she asked but no reply.

"Nikhil tu toh kuch bol?" she asked as she sat down beside the thing.

"Aap log aise kyun khade?" she kept her hand on the sheet as she pulled it off.

There lied a body under the sheets sending chills down her spine. Mandaar her mind shouted for the man but her throat went dry.

"Mandaar" she shouted keepign a hand on his shoulders in order to wake him up.

"Yeh sab kya ho raha hai? Mandaar aap aise? uthiye na." she cried.

" aai aap bolo na inko uthne ko. Aai" she ran to her mother in law but everybody stood like a statue.

Suddenly a few women appeared at the door as their leader pointed a finger at her. The women walked to her pulling her away from the family and the body.

"Aap log kaun hai? Aur yeh aap log kya kar rahe hai?" she asked being scared. She had never seen a scene like this before.

All the women grabbed her like a hawk grabs their prey and started pulling out her jwelery, her bangles while she struggled under their grip. Nobody came for her help as she creamed them to stop. As she screamed at her family, her now dead husband.

Amma was at the kitchen talking to Keerti for the pooja next day that she had kept for the newly wed couple as Ragahv stood like a mere spectator. It had been a week to their wedding and he had now finally understood the real truth about that bindi wala aunty. He felt ashamed of himself, the way he treated her and that misfortunate night he ruined in her life when he heard a loug scream coming from her room. Pallavi had gone to sleep early as she had started giving him a cold shoulder after their wedding. All of the people ran for her aid scared what might have happened.

From the door he saw her struggle in her sleep and at once went to her side patting her face.

"Pallavi utho. Pallvi kay hua tumko." he tried waking her up.

"Ragahv shayad yeh koi bura sapna dekh raha hai." Amma guessed her daughter in law's misery handling him a glass of water.

Pallavi woke up with a jolt shouting for her Aai.

"Aai nahin nahin." she shouted as beads of sweat formed on her forehead.

"Pallavi kya hua tum theek hai na?" she heard a different voice turning around she saw Raghav, her husband looking at her with concern.

"Pallavi kya ho gaya tum chilla kyun rahi thi." she heard Keerti as she looked around at her surroundings and then herself as she saw that red saree that she wore to bead, those beautiful bangles and other jwellery along with her mangalsutra. No white color.

It was yet another dream or rather a nightmare. A nightmare that had become her life's reality. And then realisation struck her, tomorrow was Mandaar's death anniversary and their wedding anniversary, hence this nightmare. She always had one where she found herself being snatched away from the body as everybody did nothing. she crying for her Aai and her husband while the women draped a white saree on her. All those times Aai used to hug her tight as soon as she woke up. In the real scenario when this actually happened, Aai stood infront of those women warning them to even lay a hand on her daughter as Baba and Nikhil covered her from their preying eyes. Mansi and Kaka held each of her hand. That was her family.

"Pallavi?" she heard Raghav call out to her.

"Han- han" she answered still shivering from the nightmare.

Ragahv sensed her body shiver so he kept an arm around her pulling her in his embrace.

"Tum aisa chillaya kyun beta?" Amma asked.

"shayad koi bura sapna tha" Keerti replied on her behalf.

"Ab tum theek hai." she heard Raghav speak in a light tone, only her to hear as he rubbed her arm. She felt safe and the coldness fading away.

"Ab tum araam karo. Kuch chahiye ho toh batadena." Amma smiled at her pulling the other out of the room so that her son can comfort her daugther in law.

"Raghav main theek hoon ab" she spoke but never broke the hug.

"Main janta hai bass main thora darr gaya tha." he replied pulling her closer.

Pallavi looked at this man and her attire, the white color was gone. She knew that until she had this man, her life would be filled with colors.

I really feel that people unsee Pallavi's pain. She got widowed at a very young age. Saw the things that i hope nobody ever experience in their life and it was then that this family supported and held her hence it is always going to be diffiult for her to ever leave them or disown them.

No hard feelings but i just felt that she was misunderstood. Now i'mma run for my life.

I agree with your opinion. I don't get why people are bashing Pallavi for her love for D fam. For an orphan like her, family is something they always dreamed about. After her marriage she got a family who claimed her as their daughter. They also protected her from the taunts of society and gave her a reason to live. How is she supposed let go of them so easily??

We can never disown someone whom we loved deeply, no matter how much they hurt us. It will take time to accept all the facts and to acknowledge the reality. So let Pallavi take her time to accept the reality.

The OS was so beautiful šŸ˜. I loved the way you transitioned from past to present smoothly. It was so heart warming to see the way Raghav consoled her and Raos cared for her .

Keep writing more such wonderful stories ā¤ļø,

I would say that this is a pretty Good Attempt at what you wanted to portray šŸ‘ . It was serene.

Although sometimes Pallavi's actions become questionable, I do understand why she feels obligated to the Deshmukhs. She was just 22 when she got married & was widowed in the same day. The same society who was supposed to wish her good Luck turned into vultures the next moment to relieve her of all her happiness by trying to get her to break her bangles & drape a white Saree.

It was at this precise scary moment that Aai stood in support of/for her & the whole Deshmukh clan saved her. They didn't throw her out as I have heard in certain cases that it was her bad luck due to which their son died. Add it to the fact that She was already an orphan & you have literally all elements that society needs to oust her & make her lead a Dreary Life.

Why will she not do any & everything for this family who saved her at 22yrs of life😭.

Wow it's a lovely OS !

I would love a scene like that. The Mandaar aspect is highly under explored by the CVs right now.

I feel it's cause they are saving it for the latter.

Loved reading it ā¤ļø

This os makes us see the whole love of Pallavi's for D-gang better--as they stood by her and supported her when she had no one at her side--orphaned and widowed.

I loved the way you showed Raghav's concern for Pallavi and how he hugged her

Nice OSšŸ‘

We should understand pallavi's pov and her love for her family. She doesn't deserve to be bashed for missing her family.

Pallavi being an orphan she got her family bcoz of mandaar. If we see the first two episodes Vijay is shown to be very proud of pallavi. The shop helped her to develop her passion for sarees and designing. And going back to home to a loving mother and father was her happiness. Aai and Baba even tried finding a suitable groom for her so that she can move on. But pallavi was hesitant to move on as she didn't want to leave them with their problems. As aai says vijay has lost his judgement of who is right and wrong. He is impulsive and angry. That doesn't make him a bad person and doesn't take away the good deeds/intentions he had for pallavi before all this mess. Mansi is acting selfish now but after mandaars death she was the closest to pallavi and treated her like a sister, she never conspired against her like BWA and amrita.

People here in IF are saying she should forget them. Aise easily MU ki wajah se family se rishta tod toh nahi sakte na. Asli mummy papa hote toh chhor deti kya?

Aai ,nikhil & Milind trust her. Aai is angry with pallavi for not sharing her problems, but she also misses her alot and is trying to control her emotions.

For pallavi at present Raghav is a stranger who snatched her family bcoz of one MU. After what he did it is difficult for her to trust him again with anything. Building trust takes time. For her gaining acceptance from family is important, then develop friendship and baad mein love hoga.

Loved how you presented her perspective šŸ‘šŸ‘

There is so much of her past that has been left unexplored, and this perfectly ties it in šŸ‘Œ

Both protagonists have a unique role to play for the other šŸ’•

Keep writing!! šŸ˜‡šŸ™

I always think that Pallavi as a character, people actually judge her quite easily and then at times misunderstand her. They don't see the background that she has walked out of and hence deserves a little comfort.

Btw thank you for liking it
