When Dadi became ill no one was there to help Kirti to admit her to the hospital so that better treatment can be given. She called on Sana but she made excuses. Tejas ignored her calls. Mayank went away on a shoot. The only person who came to her help was Nishit Agrawal. He arranged for hospital admission and a doctor to treat Kirti's Dadi.

Dadi is seriously ill and in a coma. Kirti now wants to get married so that Dadi will be at peace. But Mayank refused and even Tejas disappeared. Nishit offered to marry her.

But Kirti's mother Ahilya Urmi is not happy. She does not want Nishit to marry Kirti and even told her toyboy to get married to Kirti because any boy will do, then why not Hardvik?

Talking about Ayesha Takia, I like both her and Abhay Deol. Ayesha since her Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye. Then she did a movie with Shahid Kapoor. I loved her innocence in all of these roles. She was pretty even in that Yahan Bhi Hoga Vahan Bhi Hoga Charcha...Salman movie. Forgot the name. Not a fan of Salman but there was a time when that movie was always playing on Star Gold. 😆

I love this song too. Loved the movie too.

Those days Falguni Pathak's songs were a big craze. I used to listen to her songs so much.

Now I am in a dilemma whether to imagine Ayesha or Sonali as Kirti. 😆

Kirti's destiny, always not supporting her, reminded me of the below song.

Though not a perfect fit to the story line, but still kind of resonated to me.

Interesting choice of songs, GN! I hadn't heard any before. Loved the one you selected for Hickory Dickory Dock - Lagaya Dil.

And the one for last scene left me heartbroken. I was (rather some of us were) hopeful that Nishit would override Kirti's decision of "Let there be no later". But looks like he is going to follow the rules she set.

I love Sonali Bendre too. She looks exceptionally beautiful in this song/movie. Her hair is simply gorgeous, and I also love how she flicks it in many songs. There were couple of flicks in Diljale and Aankhon mein base ho tum song.

I too have been a fan of Takia from Meri Chunar udd udd jaye. She is a fine actor. She was simply awesome in Dor. I recently saw Gul Panag in Family Man. She is beautiful and a good actress. Her dimples 😍 I wish we could have seen these girls in more movies - Gul, Ayesha & Sonali.

Kavi - I also was wondering whether I should imagine Sonali or Ayesha for Kirti 😆 What are your thoughts about Nishit?

Oh, how could I forget Dor. Such a good movie. I remember watching it with my parents and all of us had enjoyed the story. Cemented the caliber of both Gul and Ayesha. Shreyas Talpade was nice too. Then all of them kind of disappeared from the screen. Gul I guess appears in web series but I don't follow web series so I have no idea.

The original movie is in Malayalam? I had no idea!

Its sad that their potential in many ways weren't realized.

The original is called Perumazhakkalam, I think it came out couple of years before Dor. Had won awards.
