My theory

Ishqi-Mayank breaks, but Ishqi doesn't give the reason in public

Sonu-Raj goes ahead

Ahaan feels guilty thinking he might be the reason for Ishqi-Mayank marriage breaking. His third wheel fears come true.

Mayank's truth is known only to Ishqi/Sonu, and possibly Raj. He remains in the frame as a possible antagonist.
