I personally think it's to do with Astha

Couple of things :

1. She is Astha bhakt.. if Anokhi becomes Mrs. SS.. definitely she will mend SS relationship with Astha.. it's not possible for SS to hate anymore.. so clearly BM will lose her control over SS... The way she thinks. In reality, SS can love and respect both Astha and BM both.

2. Anokhi is very straight forward and fearless.. she says on face what she thinks is right and she fight for it.. that also threatens BA authority.. Anokhi will never give in to her illogical/ unethical demands.. she is headstrong and will do whatever she has to.. even SS bows down to her in this respect.. he has mentioned many times. Tum itni ziddi kyun ho?.. tum wahi karogi Jo tumhe Karna hai.. so.

She is overplaying her hand because it has worked in past. She might have initially not like Anokhi because of Astha but now it is more than that. She has seen how strong Anokhi is and how much influence she has on Shaurya. If Shaurya were to marry her, the dynamics of Sab house would change. She will lose her iron control on the members of the household and all her past wrongdoings could potentially come to light. I also think somewhere in the back of her mind, she really believes she is doing Shaurya a favor- after all what could a middle class girl with shady family bring to marriage. In her mind this is tough love.

No one truly knows Shaurya, it has been shown many times. Almost everyone including BM believes that his love for BM trumps everything and he would be willing to do anything and everything for her. He is blind to everything when it comes to BM. Let us be honest, so far he has. But it is not just his love that binds him to BM but his feelings of gratitude and indebtedness too. I think they are about to be shocked.

Thoda sa bura bhi lagta hai. She did raise him. The way he is this angry young man is because of her. Otherwise to Shaan ki tarah lover boy hi ban jaata. And Shaurya does respect and love her a lot. So going to be another heart break for him..

If she had any brains she would have never openly declared war against Anokhi. Or did all the engagement drama. If she had brains, she would have let Anokhi be a part of their lives and then tried to create misunderstandings between Shaakhi with respect to their soch.

But the things is, even though she loves him. It’s a conditional love. Love born out of control. She doesn’t understand him at all. If she did she would have understood the more she tries to separate him from Anokhi, the more he would willingly stand against her.

She has definitely dug her own grave.

Some of her judgement is based on timing. Devi badmouthed Anokhi thinking Shaurya would never like someone who's close to Aastha and is like Aastha, because he literally went around saying that.

But once he fell for Anokhi and Devi came to know about it, she really should've changed her tactics. But I guess she was locked into the hate and the fear!
