I would take Ranveer’s Lootera any living day over every single movie Shahid has worked in. Also, I got to see a live example of their acting differences in Padmavat. The only memorable thing about Shahid in that movie was his tiny nipples 😆

Shahid has been acting since like forever and he has rarely shone in movies.

I think they're both great. But to me, Shahid is the more reliable actor because the guy's never given a bad performance. Even if his movies are shit, you couldn't trash his acting. At worst it's decent or forgettable, and at best it's spectacular. He also doesn't go ham, which is something Ranveer finds difficult not to do.

The one movie they did together , Ranveer ate Shahid alive.

Shahid FTW! He is better looking too.

That Ranveer is damn overrated, especially in this forum! 😵

Anyway, anyone and everyone is better than Ranveer as far as I am concerned 😆 And Shahid is wayy better in almost all genres. Shahid in Vivah, JWM is better than whatever romance movie Ranveer was in. Also I would anyday watch Shahid in masala movies than Ranveer hamming away in stuff like Simba and Gunday.. Lol, I havent watched Simba, but husband tried watching it once but could not continue due to Ranveer's hamfest 🤢

people are giving padmavaat as example, slb didn't even give Deepika any scenes so she wouldn't overshadow ranveer. give them an equal footing and role and shahid would shine over ranveer's overacting in some films.

ranveer has been very multidimensional and has gotten better films and chosen better films, though I hated his overacting in the slb films but have liked him in his yash Chopra films (not seen befikre) more. ranveeer has shone in his Zoya Akhtar films, both dil dhadakne do and gully boy but somehow I have not watched his films twice, never on repeat. even though I can watch Deepika films multiple times, haven't seen ram Leela , bm, or padmavaat twice( shahid and Deepika are my faves, so very surprised).

I can watch shahid films over and over, have loved all his films, including his flops.

shahid in kabir Singh was phenomenal, better than his Haider and even kaminey and jwm.

and shahid in a good romantic , light comedy is golden, too bad he didn't do too many. starting from his first film ishq vishq, dil maange more to kabir Singh (even though it wasn't light or romantic), he has shone like a star. shahid is a little more natural than ranveer Singh I feel. though gully boy, he left his ottness at the door for most of the movie.

my only complaint with shahid is I wish he did more movies. and hasn't done a dance song in a while.

Shahid is versatile, effortless & not OTT. He lives those character & without even knowing what preparation he did for it you can see his effort onscreen through how effortless he's.

Ranveer can't carry Shahid's jockstrap when it comes to acting. Shahid by a mile...its not even close.

Udta Punjab, Kaminey, Haider, Kabir Singh...the range is endless. Ranbir is the only other one who gets the nuances right among the under 40 A-listers...

Ranveer's mindless hamming is often mistaken for great performances by the general masses.
