I think we are getting crappy episodes because of the uncertainty looming over due to Covid.. Once these guys are back to Mumbai I am sure we are going to get the original charm back. We just need to be a bit more patient. I am sure once they are back we will get the focus shifted to family dynamics, Shivi, Hardik-Anita, Pandya store issues, etc These guys want to show DevTa right now to just fill up the episodes so that they have some content to show in these trying times. Once they are back they will surely focus on other things with Shivi on the forefront. Patience is the key here. We will survive through this. Baaki Shivi FFs toh hai hi for the time being❤️

Thank you 🤗

I think the problem is the TRP race which they are running. I see no reason for them not doing a fabulous job with Shivi. The PH has a good history with layered temperaments! I am giving them a benefit of doubt of the sudden change of location.

The exiting has suddenly become so bad; I can't even explain how and why!

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it like it is: the actors are just bad in DevTa scenes. Plain bad. Simran has shown some impressive improvement in her scenes with other characters and her horror act was superb, but otherwise she's still subpar. Akshay was good before the wedding, he never stood out to me even amongst his more experienced costars. He's been getting worse ever since the wedding track went down and I initially chose to give him the benefit of the doubt, chalked it down to bad writing. Now, though, it's clear he's just not a good actor, atleast in the current track. DevTa are sickening anyway, the unsavoury performances are just adding to the cringe. While I find Rishita annoyingly babyish in the couple scenes, she's atleast giving expressions. I struggle to find any sort of expression or emotion on Dev's face.

No hate for the actors, but they really need to bring their A-game to stay afloat in this immensely talented ensemble. I understand they might be new/writing might be a limiting factor etc but look at Mohit, from what I've perceived he's not too experienced either but he's shown remarkable growth in the past few episodes - totally owned it with the Kesar track. His versatility is coming through slowly. Nowadays Mohit is up there with the rest in terms of performance.

I'm sure these two have loads of scope for growth too, and I really hope they work their way there.

Another scene I just remembered is the one where Shiva throws veggies at Raavi, Dev protects her and Shiva throws her out. I didn’t like his aggression towards her but when I was watching the scene again, I realized a few things.

After tossing her out, Shiva comes back and starts angrily chopping the onions and then shares an emotional moment with Dhara. Although the dialogues focussed on Dhara getting insulted at the godh barayi, Shiva’s reaction and emotional outburst was not just about that.

Prior to Raavi dropping by, Shiva was angry but not to the point of tears. Raavi’s presence reminded him of his feelings for her. Her association with Maami and her “love” for Dev are two of the biggest reasons why Shiva is so angry and embarrassed about his feelings. He’s not supposed to feel that way about her. Yet he does and it’s a feeling that doesn’t go away. To make it worse, she doesn’t even feel the same. As angry as he is, her actions do affect him. Her love for Dev hurts him. So does the fact that she’s Maami’s “daughter”. In his eyes, a Shiva who loves his family & will do anything to protect them, can’t feel this way about MaamiKiBehenKiBeti. Not to mention, hurting her and pushing her away also affects him.

Maybe I read too much into the scene but there was more than anger in that scene. There was guilt, pain and a need for solace. Usually we don’t see Shiva showing so much emotion but in this scene he does.

I kinda miss the days where a scene could be interpreted in so many ways.

Yeah I agree! The TRP race has ruined so many shows! For some reason, no one learns from the past 😆 Yep I see no reason either since they have a nice location, great actors and so much potential.

I hope things get back on track once they move back their original set. Yeah the editing is awful and I have no idea why.

Bang on!! I have been feeling the same since quite some time now. Rishita tries to act all cute and babyish, but God its reached a point beyond annoying for me. Raavi with all her antics even before marriage never lost her charm. Audience still adored her. Alice did a fantastic job there. But yes, Rishita , I feel the actor is having difficulties in portraying these mood swings that her character is having. For a moment she will be all good , next moment she is all nasty but tries to sound cute. I am not sure what she is trying to prove here. I still think she is better than Dev. Dev cannot express anything. Period. Since Akshay is new I will give him time but Mohit was new too, his character and acting have improved by leaps and bounds. I am seeing no change in Dev. Infact Akshay's acting went downhill post marriage. Especially when he shares the screen with Kanwar or Shiny, you can see him struggling. He is still in the music video, modelling phase and still has a lot to learn in terms of acting. Its bad acting coupled with bad dialogues coupled with bad character sketch, everything is playing against DevTa😡

Same, I think the pressure of moving to Rajasthan has left the makers in a tailspin of what they wanted to do. They started off pretty strong with the bus ride, initial kesar scare etc. But I think paired with the new timeslot as well as a loss of what to do if they are forced to stay in Rajasthan, they've been playing around with this dramatic and unnecessary plotline.

CVs, if any of you are here, lurking on this forum for ideas, here are some more lighthearted scenes for everyone:

-Address the underlying issues between ShiVi. Don't really care how you do it, but here's a scenario you can build off of: ShiVi go to the temple to pray, and Shiva mumbles all of his feelings out loud as he is used to confessing all his worries to his namesake. Raavi hears all of this, and when they come back home, Raavi essentially forces him to open up to her, and afterwards, they go to a dhaba to call a truce with food. Let these two have a mature conversation where they both set their expectations for their marriage, especially since they were forced into this mess.

-Have GauRa discuss with Suman on what it means to have the new daughter-in-laws in the house. It seems like Dhara continues to follow her mode of life from before their marriages. It would be very eye-opening and heart warming if Suman could discuss her experiences when she first married. She could let Dhara know it's okay to be protective of her bacchas, but that she also needs to learn a thing or two on how "parent." Suman always knows what to say and when to say things, and obviously that has come with her age and experience. It would be great if she could give a few lessons to GauRa and the audience.

-DevTa... as much as I don't want to think about them, I think it would be much needed to have a scene with DevTa where they do not end up romancing each other by the end of the scene. Dev should be much more serious on what his family means to him, and Rishita needs to do a little growing up to realize that if she wants Dev's love, she also needs the Pandya family's love. It could be cute if Rishita, trying to make amends, plans for a little family outing for them. Almost like a picnic where she and Raavi make food for the family. And during the picnic, Gaumbi can help Dhara understand that with the new bahus, the responsibilities in the house could now be shared

-Krish... he's an absolute doll of a character, and what I think he needs is just a good, supportive friend, especially as most of his own family are in committed relationships. I think it would be beautiful to see him develop a friendship with his new bhabis as I really have been loving the Krish-Raavi relationship that the makers have been teasing us with. It could also be interesting to see how Rishita apologizes and wins Krish's trust.

So many storylines, CVs, that don't involve toxicity! Please show the lighter moments. We've all had a tough year with COVID... show us how beautiful life can be by returning some of the original spark

The vegetables throwing scene and the scene prior to that are my favorites.. I loved how they were trying to cook food for Dhara to cheer her up.. I missed that bonding, now episodes are not like the initial PS episodes.... And even I feel that Shiva has feelings for Raavi.
