I personally feel that biggest downfall of THR is the CVS rushed through the main story. We had an amazing premise and main story, KalMa bonding, KalMoksh bonding, AnuYani bonding and AnuSar bonding. On top of it, SamThu and Deshmukhs creating troubles for KalMa and AnuSar. I think main arch of the story could have easily lasted 2 years without dragging too much, but CVS rushed through it in less than 1 year and after that too many experimentations made the story boring and disconnected.
But still, compared to many other ITV shows, I feel our story isn't too far gone, no one except Kaka and maybe AS has been butchered too too badly. Plus we have had a really good run and will most likely make it to 3 years. And I'm sure that we'll get a happy ending for THR.
Couple of good things that CVS have done is tone down the negativity and these new writers seem half-way decent. The drugs track was easily the best track of entire S2, from beginning to end, it was 80% logical and didn't butcher any characters and didn't drag too much.
Agree, had they handled AnuSar as a couple better and shown more nuances in Kalma's relationship from both sides starting from when SamThu reappeared and then took control of AS' side of AN, things would've been much more enjoyable.
In fact, in each track they should have shown a growing level of understanding and love from both sides.... instead we had them both in love out of the blue and being incapable of expressing it.
Another relationship they could now explore is Malhar and Kaka's, they've always been each other's support system, but would be interesting to see how they deal with conflict and if Malhar, who's experienced fatherhood and marriage before Kaka, is capable of understanding the latter's inner turmoil and balancing between being there for him and, at the same time protecting Kalyani and Anu from his anger.
Malhar is now THR's bahu and has to pass all the tests of his sasural wale with flying colours to win their hearts like Kallu had to when he brought his newly-found family home 5 ago, except that the sasur is Malhar's own uncle. 😂😂😂
