She comes across very uptight in general.. even with Amma I don't see her very open.. I don't know if she resents him but the look she gives him in most scenes is that of disgust..which I dont like.. and also I dont know if its the character or because the actor has a limited range of expression.

Oh yes, somebody noticed it too? I also find keerthi showing disgust only towards Raghav. The only time she didn’t have those expressions were in the jail scene. Even the botched photo shoot, she could’ve conveyed exasperation but no there also I saw disgust and after Amma gave thappad for zabardasti wedding when Raghav clearly wanted someone to understand she had disgust only for him. I have an older brother and no matter how mad I’m with him I will stand with him come he’ll or high water. It’s the same with him too. So I wish they showed something substantial about the relationship. As far as I can see Raghav gives 200% of his everything to Amma and keerthi whereas keerthi .

No one asks her anything. No one asked her if she wants to move in with RR. Amma ne decision le Liya so she has to follow. Amma ne bola Raghav se door raho, so she needs to stay away. Starting ke episodes me RR was seeing Rishtas for her. He didn't even bother to ask if she wants to marry or not, if she likes/loves someone or not. Akash ke case me bhi RR went all hulk on him just because he saw them together. Did he bother asking who is he to Kirti? Akash uska bf nahi tha but Agar hota bhi toh so what? She has all rights to choose for herself. Even now with Sunny, sure Raghav can meet him, judge him, do background checks and all, but final decision needs to be Kirti's. Raghav and Amma both need to understand that Kirti is an individual, give her some breathing space and let her take her own decisions.

Yeah, and we get that from episode 1, but does she love him and care for him. If ever he needed her (like all those years + now) or were hurting, would she stand by him and shower her love the way he does?

I am doubtful. I fear she will keep getting in trouble and Raghav will always be the one cleaning up after her, without her showing gratitude.

I don't think it's the actor, it's more the character. Remember her when she was doing the photo shoot. She came alive and was so excited. Although, in general, she looks like she is weary about life.

Yeah totally agree with you. This has been bothering me for the past few days especially, so you'll see me bring it up again and again.

I understand there is a distance but can they not try to bridge the gap? I know she was disgusted when she found out what he did to Pallavi and how he forced her to marry him. I don't want or expect her to condone it or forgive him that easily, but did she stop to think why a brother would do this for his sister? To what extent he went just to get her justice?

I agree with this too. Her equation with her brother is dependent on her equation with Amma and vice versa. It's unhealthy. She got caught in the middle of the family mess, plus she had to live with a sad and bitter Amma all these years and look after her singlehandedly. All that took a toll on her mind and made her somewhat bitter towards Raghav too for being the cause of the tragedy. If Amma hates Raghav, she has to hate him too, if Amma wants to go back to Raghav, she has to as well.

She is still treated as the kid in many ways, even though she has proven to be more maturity than most of the characters on the show in many ways. I think hanging out with unsuitable suitors is her way of rebelling. She wants freedom, perhaps. I wish they would explore this more. What makes her tick? What are her dreams?

Maybe she does. She lost everyone in her family, father and one brother died, other brother moved away, mother drowned in dukh of losing husband and kid and angry on Raghav. Kirti suddenly became responsible for her amma. Constant interference from both amma and Raghav, she does look weary, tired and fed up from all the drama

If this is indeed what's troubling her, I wish they'd explore it, even if she's talking to Pallavi or Farhad about this.
