I am an old member of India forums but was not very active since IPKKND days hence I lost my account information but IPZN got me to a point to create an account again with Indiaforums.

I just caught up with the show I accidentally found on YouTube and have been crazy about it since... 😍

I have seen Gul’s other shows but IPZN tugs at my heartstrings the same way IPKKND. The main leads of her show have Darcy like qualities but similarities between Darcy and AVM is the most I feel. Also, as the world is moving forward I have noticed changes in the tv serials as in less manhandling to no manhandling by the ML which makes the show enjoyable.

I see Darcy in AVM a man stuck in his beliefs but being challenged by a woman he feels drawn to and does his best to deny it until he can’t anymore. I’m hoping to see the same growth in AVM 😘

AVM like Darcy literally craves for her and is going insane without her. I have been in love with Darcy for as long as I remember 😂 so It’s not a surprise that I have fallen for AVM 💕

Anyone else see Darcy in him?

Sorry for my ramblings...

One thing I really really appreciate about this show is that Ahaan has not mandandled Ishqi, at least not yet. Ahaan is much softer and seems much normal 😆than her other male leads. His weak point is his mom but he behaves normally with everyone around her. In the first episode, they did show that he is an angry boss in the office but later with the family he is quite normal and sweet.

The villain in IPKKND and IPZN have similarities too Mayank and Shyam both hurting his sister and his love, same as In Pride and Prejudice

I think the abuse is not tolerated in tv serials now so from physical abuse to manhandling and now verbal spats and banter is where we are headed. I recall during the QH slap from Asad to Zoya -The forum was on fire and many stopped watching the show. I did, I could not get past the slap and the chemistry did not feel the same after.

Hope we don’t see any of that 😳

I am a big fan of Jane Austen's works. There are definitely similarities since formula of Darcy and Lizzie is sure to be a hit among die hard romantics.

Having said that, Darcy thought women were of lower substance. He didn't much think of them. But Ahaan even when he has this traditional views that women should take care of house and family, he did mention that women are way superior than men. So, there is a big difference there.

Also, Ahaan is much more polite and down to earth than Darcy (prior to his views changed by Lizzie).

I don't agree with his views of course but from his point of view, it makes sense. Separation of church and state. When two people who respect each other share the responsibility totally zoned out based on their capabilities, result is promising. But the fact that you cannot know what is in store tomorrow makes that arrangement not work. Everyone needs to be independent in all aspects.

And I hope they don't show Mayaank getting successful in his trial with Sonu. If that happens, that is worse than male lead slapping a female lead. Nobody should show an example of if a girl dumps you, you take revenge on her. Get a life, move on dude. And the new actor Mayaank creeps me. I don't say that to anyone but the way his expressions are kind of make me wonder why did they cast him?

In the beginning when they showed he was trying to get back at Sonu - I honestly thought he is trying to win her over. But this is unacceptable. Lot of people might stop watching if they show him molesting Sonu. Gul is smart enough to realize that and hopefully doesn't let this get out of hand.

I agree, Ahaan's thinking is not totally out of place. It is the separation of responsibility and given the same amount of respect to womens' role as men then it is fine also. But our society is not ideal, women's work in society does not get appreciated/paid which causes a lot of trouble in separation. There is no scope for individualism. Ideally, it should be something like even some men choose to be homemakers. Instead of putting societal pressure on gender roles, individual couples should themselves decide who will take what responsibility.

I am okay if it is shown that Sonu is molested by Mayank. There is a difference between Male Lead slapping or manhandling Female Lead because here Mayank is a villain. Sonu is not going to romance with him. Eventually, Sonu will get married to her love, Raj. I think they want to show that even if girls get molested, it is not their fault and they deserve to lead a normal life and the same respect in society.

so easy to fall for Darcy a man who is not perfect but works towards it for his love without any expectations -How could one not love Darcy 😍

AVM is the most similar of Gul’s ML that resembles Darcy👍

Ahaan has been rude to Ishqi a few times and told her to leave and lectured her on her behavior. When Darcy felt a spark with Lizzy he mellowed down with her and so did Ahaan 🤗😘

Recall the piano scene at Rosings, lizzy is still arguing while Darcy is pretty polite 😂 power of love 💗 same is happening with Ahaan
