Ranbir is excellent
SRK is slightly better
Ranbir has to do a lot more work to be fairly compared to SRK

No I didn't mean it like that- when I said sold I mean the audience buys into what his character is feeling and we automatically root for him, even in villainous or unsympathetic roles. He has the ability to make the audience connect with him and buy into the journey
I didn't mean the tickets sold, lol! But I can see why it was confusing the way I wrote it
srk is the better actor. ranbir is todays generation so he is more authentic in that regard but srk can pull off almost anything romance action drama humour.
Is this supposed to be a joke?
No. He lacks the charisma that SRK has. Besides Ranbir is still script driven and doesn't rise above the character

@bold, and that's better when it comes to acting rather than the actor who uses other theatrics like charisma to draw the audience instead of following the script like a good actor should.

Actually that's the beauty of acting. there is no 'should'. An actor could be technically very proficient like Dilip Kumar or be very charming and charismatic like Raj Kumar (using older examples), but at the end of the day, whoever makes you buy into the story and the universe of the film, wins.
SRK may not be as new age or 'method'-y in his acting but he always rises above the bad or average script and excels in a good film, of course. Ranbir is amazing in good scripts like Barfi or Rockstar but put him in a lackluster film like Rajneeti or Besharam and it was like watching paint dry. SRK, even in a godawful film like Harry/Sejal, which had a really sh*t script and a super annoying Anushka, still managed to be borderline tolerable and have even one or two moments of genuine connection (this is a major feat given how terrible the film really is)
That's why natural talent, energy, 'presence' score over any technical correctness. IMHO.
ranbir can not do chak de , anjaam , darr
Why does lead actor Ranveer look more like a side actor in Dhurandhar? So I was under the impression that Ranveer was playing the main lead in...
