She looks more cute in this hairstyle rather than simple full straight hair.. not saying that's not good though...
I completely agree! I hope they keep it like this from now on. I loved her look before the wedding. Hoping that look makes a comeback once Raavi starts to heal and move forward.

Was watching an old episode and noticed something. In the episode where Shiva run away after Dhara says she won’t speak to him if he quits school... he says that words and letters appear scary and confusing to him. It made me wonder if he has some form of learning disability... I don’t think the writers will go into it but it got me thinking (I know one shouldn’t overthink ITV haha).
It could just be that like many kids, he finds school boring and doesn’t want to learn. But the way he described it and the frustration made it seem like there is more. If I’m not wrong, they don’t really clarify if he joined school again in those 10 years but I always thought he finished college or at least high school.
Even though the other characters aren’t really referring to his education when they call him gawar (it’s more of his habits and appearance)... I hope they clarify whether or not he finished his studies (like they did for the others)...

But dhara was pretty adamant about him going back to school. Also after the leap you see him lookinh for invoices/ receipts for the store when he and raavi are fighting and all the papers fly all over so he does handle accounts of the store so he def isnt illiterate in that sense but maybe his behaviour which was always one of a wild child makes him seem like one. Shivas main goal in life has always been to support gaumbi at the store.

That makes sense and that’s what I figured too. It was clear that Dhara wanted him to at least finish the min requirement. He promised her that he would just before the leap. It’s more his behavior and habits that lead to others calling him jahil, gawar, etc... Hopefully he becomes more mindful of the fact that he is in a relationship and maintaining good hygiene is the least someone can ask for.

Before beginning, I would like to put up the disclaimer that I by no means am here to diagnose or offer medical advice. For those of you who don't like reading about medical stuff, the next paragraph is not for you (I won't even feel offended if you ignore it since I know medicine is not everyone's cup of tea 😆)
However, your words @bold essentially brought me to two possible medical differentials: dyslexia and ADHD. Dyslexia is a disability related to reading and language processing. Words can appear jumbled, confusing, and difficult to understand. Dyslexics though have no other disabilities apart from that. Now, ADHD has many different subtypes, but in general can cause hyperactiveness and impulsiveness. ADHD is very much a childhood condition, and most adults who've had a history of ADHD stop taking medications and seem to be normal functioning. There's not really a medication for dyslexia (tutoring and learning accommodations are the way to go for student success), but there are medications to treat ADHD. I think it's very possible Shiva could've had ADHD, (dyslexia is a bit harder since he probably would have a tough time reading the store's audit documents/bills) but he also could have another learning disability that I just didn't get to learning.
I've always personally wondered how Shiva's school performance was whenever the characters say "gawar." As you mentioned, they are likely referring to his appearance and his habits, but I can't help but think they are also somewhat alluding to his education, especially since we have no idea of whether he went to school or not! We know Krish is in college (year is unspecified) and Dev most likely had some form of higher education if he met Rishita (I personally don't believe their paths would've crossed otherwise).
I believe we know Dhara's age to be 29 (as someone mentioned she was 19 pre-leap). I believe she and Dev have a 6 year age gap, so that would likely put Dev as a 23 year old (13 pre-leap). Considering Suman needs at minimum 9 months between each child, Shiva can be no older than 22 (I'm assuming Raavi is younger/same age as Shiva but older than Krish). And Krish should be no older than 21.
Now this is where I get into a ton of hypotheticals (because I've only ever gone through American schooling), but at the completion of inter-second year, students should be 18 years old. And most degrees in India take approximately 3-4 years. That would mean students fully finish their education between 21-22. Therefore, it is very possible for the three possibilities (could be more though):
1. Shiva went to school and completed his education (upon Dhara's insistence), but his grades were not good --> which leads to people calling him a "gawar"
2. Shiva began college but dropped out due to unspecified reasons, and people think him dropping out is due to him being a "gawar"
3. Shiva never went to college in the first place, branding himself as a "gawar"
Definitely a longer post than I anticipated, but I think about this school thing way too much! Especially after the spoilers from the original show and the fact that many, many characters have been alluding to him being not as intelligent as others... I agree with you, I want to know the mystery!

I completely agree with you! And same, I have very little medical knowledge. What I found interesting was his choice of words... he didn’t just say he find school boring, it’s too much work, etc... he said the words appear confusing, scary and it’s as if they are attacking him. I had a friend in grade school who had dyslexia and he would usually describe it the same way. Words became flipped and the thought of reading was frustrating & frightening. I wish the writers explored this a bit more esp since they used this language.
My brother has ADHD and has to cope with emotional distress and anger. That could also be possible in Shiva’s case. He gets angry easily and that can stem from more than just “ghussa”. From what they showed, his principal and teachers were not helpful at all. I know here in NYC, the system is very supportive when it comes to such students and getting them the help they need. I’m sure India does too but I don’t know exactly how they go about it. And like you said, there are other possible learning disabilities. It could also be that it went undiagnosed but since GauRa are educated individuals, I would think they would try to look into it.
Anyway I agree with all your points above and share similar thoughts. The show will probably never go into such detail (not their fault, it’s ITV)... but my guess is either Shiva finished college or did as much as he could before dropping out (has met the min requirement... like a HS diploma)... Basically the three options you have above. I think Dev has an MBA & probably Rishita does too. Gaumbi and Dhara both did B. Com (im guessing equivalent to bachelors or associate degree). Raavi I’m guessing recently finished college with maybe a bachelors. Anyway let’s see if the writers address this at all.
