Most probably more than 2 months or so. They cannot keep a famous actress for just one month and send her out. It is what I feel.
About the character, Sakshi is so sweet and kind to turn negative. So, Sakshi's track is most likely to expose Anjali and Prakashi for God's sake. But why she didn't remember Purvi. Is she amnesiac?
About Character development, I feel it would go in CS way where first people hated Manav but later they started to like Manav a lot (for that, they butchered leads)... Or else, they may bring a guy for Sakshi hopefully... I don't want her turn negative for PurVir.

It's not about whether she s popular or not popular..she is not lead here..and story us about purvi and vir. So definitely they ll make sakshi evil only..

@bold - after Prakashi turning negative, I can believe anyone turning negative!!!
@bold2- That is what I am most afraid of - Saba is creating so much of hype for Sakshi, trying to force everyone to like her & sympathize with her. If they butcher Vir to glorify Sakshi or Purvi I'm done with this show.
I don't want Sakshi to turn negative coz that will really hurt Vir - pehle Maa phir biwi! Now the most sensible way out of this mess they have created is to make her an imposter - a plan of Prakashi to create havoc for PurVir

It is not that straightforward. The fact that they have got an actress who already has some popularity indicates that they will wait & watch how the public reacts to her.
Based on public acceptance they will decide how long to continue with her track - sab TRP ka khel hai
Otherwise they could have got any chirkut like Karan also!

Bold - May be or may be not. But when Sakshi comes to the marriage Hall, Prakashi and Anjali didn't react much (I read WU). So I feel you're right.
If ratings continues to be like this, Sakshi track would be the last track of the show.
