Waise bhi I think once Malini is back in the house, everyone will settle in a bit again.....yeah I don't doubt Malini still will be up to her lame tricks but the level of high voltage it got the last two weeks might be toned down for a bit cuz bahut heavy ho gaya hai....so that might give scope for our regular chirpy Imaliya to make a reappearance. Again, this doesn't mean I think we are going to get our regular level of content....script ka mess I'm resigned to in a sense for now but I do think turning the page from this Malini suicide drama and back to Imlie's college scenes will help a bit.

Woh college ka pehla dinn when imlie thrashed those students in her style was definitely treasure-worthy moment. Ts, Cs, Ds, etc lol 😂 se dhyaan hatjae toh acha hoga.

So, is he not telling the truth because Malini is in the hospital and he cannot tell it to anyone but her as it will not be fair to her?

Arey why unpopular? 😆....yeh toh absolutely true hai....no matter how brief or repetitive an Adi-Imlie interaction, the comfort level and open-ness is always there.....Adi khul ke apne saare emotions share karta hai Imlie se.....with Malini toh he keeps her up on a pedestal na....delicate doll sitting on a shelf types😆.....usually Didi enjoys that but is baar daal nahin gali toh she was pissed despite him giving her attention and kindness there😆

Re: the elaborate lie.....lol yes deffo doesn't seem like someone can come up with a lie that comfortably if they've never used such a tactic before....I also find it hard to buy that simply feeling betrayed by Adi can push her to spin such an elaborate lie that too with pauses for effect.....and if that is indeed the reason why she's doing all this, then own your "Breaking Bad" nature to full extent rather than bursting into tears and playing bechaari again. She wants to have it both ways....playing the bechaari as well as doing these lame cunning things to get the responses she wants.

Yes, Adi does make the mistake of presuming that Malini is also straightforward like him and wouldn't lie about such a big thing....in his own case also he's not hiding the fact that he has something to tell her....so again, it's not some elaborate lie like hers.....Adi's lies have never really about that kind of cunning or calculation for effect.....when he consciously lies, it's like a 10 ton weight on his soul that he then feels weighed down by.....while Malini lied pretty coolly and then even had the "presence of mind" to make sure he doesn't spread her lie to others....lol now if that isn't a shrewd liar, then what is? In Adi's case, all the initial lies regarding Imlie frankly were ones he fell into😆....cuz Imlie was the one who initiated the lie of showing up in the city for work....he just remained silent and then later started going along with it😆. So yes, Didi has shown that she is another level of cunning jhooti even as she wails over others giving her dhoka😆

Ohh LOL....so that's why they introduced these new words in Adi's lexicon in this epi....I was half zoned out and wondering ki ab yeh farz/samjhauta ka raag kahaan se shuru ho gaya😆......Haan I guess Ts were trying to impress upon him the farz of 7 saal ka rishta too😆....and Adi has now fully understood ki the rishta with Malini was a samjhauta/compromise through and through....he's carrying around the dead weight of that samjhauta now😆

Makes sense right.. they way they kept stressing the 7 year relationship even back then , it was like he is given 7 years so now he has to fulfill the farz of taking it through to the marriage or it would be a kind of betrayal so may be he just compromised. Even the first episode where before he was leaving for PD, everybody else was more worried about his marriage than Adi himself. His attitude was like ya shaadi hi hain, what is the big deal, you guys take care of it and went to PD.😆

One thing is that Adi definitely was more nonchalantly expressing his views, as a friend that the fake guy was her past & how whether she has opened up to that past guy or not, there wasn't much anxiety or feeling uncanny regarding this scenario. He was rather responding from realizing that their relationship dynamics have changed based on how life made their wants be changed --- chahta kuch aur, hogya kuch aur (hence the notion of dokha). He nonchalantly got up sensing the change in air or presuming it to be thus the response, from a friend's POV, that isn't he your past? rather than from spousal perspective. There has been a complete paradigm shift of what they were presuming to yield from their relationship to yield out from the initial episodes.

Malini has been that person who viewed relationship to be picture perfect, so when she doesn't see things go as per from perspectives, she's plainly resorting to numerous tactics thereby bringing the disdain projected towards her. The changed Adi is something she taking seconds to digest.

Whereas Adi has realized, things have changed so, it's not her fault. She still wanted that clarification from him, hence "matlab?"

LMAO yes🤣....I do remember....he was pretty whatever about his shaadi with Malini shuru se hi....like it was just another to do item to check off a list😆.....chalo we can grant him that maybe as a guy he's not interested in the taam jhaam of all this but even with that consideration, he was always treating that shaadi like a duty to fulfill than something he was choosing out of happiness.

But I don't know if the writers will properly close the loop on this samjhauta angle also....lol already humari itni chop ho chuki hai regarding our expectations of Adi realizing why him and Malini were incompatible and that ghanto baatein kar sakte hain and all mostly ended up being a delusion.....so woh sab toh hua nahin....ab dekhte hain if they manage to use the samjhauta angle to make the point ki shaadi aise samjhaute ke saath nahin chal sakti jab basic understanding/communication hi na ho.

That reminds me, BK ne woh bhi line badi sahi boli thi in his rant ki issue yeh hai ki Adi Malini se baat karne ki koshish kar raha hai but use samjha nahin paa raha hai and Malini uski baat samajh nahin rahi hai...or something to that effect. So that was another nod it seemed to the communication issues b/w them too.

Bechari Imlie ko roz tension ki BBSB kal sach bolenge 😆, literaally he has been doing that to her since for ever and then they are back to square one in the night with the same conversation ki "ab mein sach bolunga" 😆

I wonder what would be Aditya's reaction when he find out about all the lies that Malini has spoken to him including the poem which I think along with the certificate and the suicide note is lost in la la land.

I was wondering about the past week behavior and if you notice, Aditya does not really see through her and takes all her actions, reactions on the face value unless the drama concerns Imlie. Then all his shields and glasses come out and he see through her act and retaliates accordingly, If its aim at him, he is just non-chalant. He just interacts with her as if she is this sane, calm understanding professor who can do no wrong. May be its his trust in her, the 7 year relationship, her token defense of him in front of his mother or just plain faith that she will or cannot do something bad to him. Hence his blindness to all her doings where he was concerned, I think when that breaks, when he realizes that she has been manipulative even with him , its going to hurt him. 🤔

Yes, this does all tie back in many ways to that convo regarding the ideal spouse.....Malini had fixated on how two people being similar means a relationship is picture perfect and smooth sailing, while Adi had stated then also that Change is inevitable....nothing ever stays the same all the time....so he had that practicality in his basic mindset always that change is in the law of nature and you can't hide from it.....Adi is approaching this as circumstances having changed their relationship dynamics rather than approaching it as a person having changed...he was philosophizing about how they both wanted different things from life but didn't realize it.....while Malini is viewing this as a person (Aditya) changing and obsessing over it from that angle...

Malini definitely fears change and it is now driving her to do more desperate/twisted things....while Adi has become more accepting of change as he's opened up to his inner self through the process of falling in love with Imlie....so that is why he is accepting of change in others too.....while Malini wants everything to be on her terms.

LOL which is probably why they are never going to reveal those things to Adi😆....usko apne delusions mein hi khush rehne denge about Malini....haha

As you said, when it comes to himself, he is quite blinded about her manipulations....he takes most of her nautanki on face value out of his own guilt, 7 years ka regard, her general samajhdaar professor waali image, jo bhi.....benefit of doubt de deta hai mostly barring that one fight where he called out some of her tactics like BP low and khaana chhodna😆 and lashed out over him always being the one to apologize.

But beyond that, as you said, apne maamle mein he still doesn't consider that Malini could be manipulative things like this.....Imlie ke case mein his back goes up and he does bristle but even there he so far still thinks Malini is taking out HIS gussa on Imlie.....lol he hasn't fully understood ki Malini ko base level pe bhi jealousy/resentment hai Imlie se....so yeah, dunno if he will ever realize all this about Malini.....the glasses ain't coming off anytime soon so we have to continue swallowing our frustrations again😆

Badke Kaka is the only sane elder Tripathi in the house.

While rest of the people like Pankaj, Radha & Aparna just want Malini to be back in the house without analysing the cause of such disconnect between Adi-Malini relationship, BK is the only one who is thinking about it with a cool head.

He has understood that both Adi & Malini are not able to communicate with each other & that is why the issue has escalated to such an extent.

He also wants to bring back Malini home but not like the others who are ready to do anything to get her back. He thinks it should be Malini's decision that matters because it was she who left the home.

Also I think BK does not like Malini much. He is plain pakaoed by her tamashe & antics. He was exasperated with her drama when she left T house for the first time only. After that we have hardly seen him interacting with her even on token basis.

I also liked how he was not ready to send off Imlie away to a hostel just because the others want to blame an external factor for Adi-Malini marriage failing instead of trying to understand what went wrong in their relationship & have zeroed in on Imlie. Imlie is not at any fault & hence she shouldn't be sent away from the family. I just wanted to give him a big 🐻 🤗for his fierce defense of Imlie.

I think he will object on AC's condition of sending away Imlie because he did say that he will not support the other T gang in their plan. Also Didi herself will arrive with Adi & also say not to send away Imlie to keep her enemy closer & also play the mahanta card. So Adi will not have to do anything to defend Imlie in this instance at least. Imlie will not go anywhere for the time being at least.
