Waise bhi I think once Malini is back in the house, everyone will settle in a bit again.....yeah I don't doubt Malini still will be up to her lame tricks but the level of high voltage it got the last two weeks might be toned down for a bit cuz bahut heavy ho gaya hai....so that might give scope for our regular chirpy Imaliya to make a reappearance. Again, this doesn't mean I think we are going to get our regular level of content....script ka mess I'm resigned to in a sense for now but I do think turning the page from this Malini suicide drama and back to Imlie's college scenes will help a bit.

So yeah, flummoxed is the word cuz isse khud toh bilkul nahin ho paata digest ek second ke liye Imlie ko kisi aur ke saath dekh paana despite all the bakwaas he did😆......but that is why she is Imlie, Babusahib....you no can be Imlie....no one can....cuz no one thinks like her😆

Reminded again of one of my fav. lines from the diya guarding scene....he was confounded back then also that she kept asking him to return to Malini....isliye aaj bhi puchhta hai ki tum kaise dekh paayi mujhe kisi aur ke saath😆

Oh his whole realization arc was like one big lightning bolt, hitting him again and again. Where did all the umar go now? 😆

To think that someone like Aditya could even get jealous of someone like Prakash was beyond incredible. Imlie humbled him and how.

In that diya scene itself his first line was about how she wanted to spend time with Prakash instead of him. And the next day he goes about asking her to marry Prakash 3 times 😆

Her references to Malini only brought literal pain to him toh that was hilarious to watch too. Pehle hi pehchaan leta toh we would not have been subjected to creepy bandage stroking.

LOL 🤗

Fair warning, I don't know how long my "optimism" will last😆.....but for some reason, even after feeling done, itne saare essays nikal rahe hain mujhse....lol maybe in the struggle to rationalize something that fried our brains this week.....toh us process mein thoda bahut perspective mil jaata hai after a point.

I guess like Adi finds it hard to fully let go, so do we😆

He saw an opening to not feel guilty for leaving didi alone. He's probably happy that didi loves someone else, so now he can happily be with Imlie without ever feeling guilty. Adi has always been SELFISH. So he was here too.

haan agar aisa fake affair drama Imlie ne kiya hota toh Babusaheb ban jaate Sherlock Holmes to find out the details & get his ganna ready to beat up the guy, for whom Imlie attempted suicide🤣 aur phir "tum humse pyaar nahi karti" bolke usko nag karte jab tak bechari admit nahi kar leti ke yes she was lying & loves her Babusaheb only 😆

And as childish and ooc for imlie to do that this post still made me smile and has more feel of adi imlie dynamic and commcet...*sigh* kahan laake khada kar dia mujhe

@bold: This again makes me wonder if any external source will raise that point regarding them again😆.

Adi ne khud toh us umar angle ko irrelevant kar diya that Imlie should marry some guy her own age😆.....toh will someone else bring it up aage and ab baat chubhegi Babusahib ko?😆

ROFL@ how he looked like he was in literal pain each time Imlie brought up Malini in PD😆.....those were fun times indeed.....haha

Waise I'd love it if Malini pulling her hand back from Adi yesterday could have been some kind of symbolism for the upcoming ki yeh ab khunnas mein rahegi and will spare us her despo chipkugiri atleast....but lagta nahin we will be so lucky since Didi keeps changing from scene to scene....kabhi khunnas, kabhi back to despo clinging "mera husband mera husband".....lol

I wish they had handled this transition better of Adi realizing him and Malini didn't really understand ek dusre ke dil ki baat despite being "friends"....he did say that line in this scene but overall impact got diluted cuz of the rest of the randomness.....also cuz it got one-sided na....Adi khud se bolta reh gaya what he was realizing about his and Malini's relationship while she kept trying to turn it back to, "Maine aapko dhoka diya"😆 rather than acknowledging what he was saying about the flaws in their own relationship....lol

As for Imlie going to the hostel....lol I'm not thinking about it yet cuz next week waale Adi ka abhi clear idea nahin hai😆

Woh bhi part of reverse psychology tha didi ka move ke adi will cling to her just like she does to.him.but adi was like whatever...aise toh aise hi sahi hahah and then she made the face

I dunno if this has already been discussed but I think one of the most noteworthy bits in the Adi-Malini scene was the way Malini wrapped her hand around her bandaged wrist and said, "Maine kahaa tha na, aapko bura lagega"😆......hella creepy the way she said it....like she was demanding that he feel bad.....while cradling a reminder of the psychotic stunt she had just pulled....in that moment it kind of crystallized that she pulled the suicide stunt for the same reason....to make him feel bad.

But he actually wasn't feeling bad in the way she wanted🤣.....he was giving her pity, compassion, kindness, empathy.....everything except the love/possessiveness she was trying to trick out of him.....lol

So I could only laugh when she started crying after he walked out and she was justifying her lie cuz it helped her learn the truth that her own husband doesn't care if there's another guy in her life 😆.....they are trying so hard to paint Malini as a tragedy but she has totally become a caricature now no matter how much they keep pushing for sympathy *shrugs*

One final bottom line worth noting.....at every point where Adi or Imlie have lied or hidden the truth, they have lied to spare hurt and pain to Malini or to their families....they have hardly ever lied for selfish reasons...it's mostly been out of a thought for others. And Adi was good at lying to himself but when it came to consciously lying, he literally used to die a thousand deaths even over telling a little lie regarding going to Jamshedpur.

But Malini in this scene told a pretty elaborate lie without much hesitation....with calculative pauses for effect every bit of the way....and the entire intent of the lie was selfish....it was a lie told to make Adi feel bad, to make him feel guilty, to hurt him into giving her what she wanted. It's a contrast worth noting even if the writers think they are successfully glorifying her while painting all others as sinners. Adi-Imlie lied to spare pain to others....while Malini is lying to give pain to others. The summary of these characters in a nutshell.

This part actually shows how calculative and manipulative she is. Coming up with something like this on a spur of the moment and watching for reaction, this cannot be just a one time thing or because her psyche is affected as she thinks her husband is cheated on her. She has done this before, not in this sense but for various other things to get him to bow to her. It also worked on Aditya because he himself is a straightforward person and I am sure he thinks Malini is too, as per the claims that they are both similar. Hence, I think he in that sense took it at face value that Malini will not lie about such a big thing.

One more thing that I noticed and this might be an unpopular opinion, was the notable difference in his conversation with Malini and Imlie. With Imlie, though their interactions have been short, his comfortableness comes through, that freedom of speech that he only shows with her was visible but with Malini, that wall, was very visible contrary to his claims that they have been friends.

So, is he not telling the truth because Malini is in the hospital and he cannot tell it to anyone but her as it will not be fair to her?

But then when I watched the scene again, Pam's take felt more valid vis a vis the blow Adi actually dealt her in that scene😆....you have to watch it with an irreverent frame of mind to appreciate it....and it's hard on a first watch cuz aajkal gaaliyaan hi dene ko mann karta hai😆....but thoda thande dimaag se phir se dekhne ka try karo and you'll see the hilarity in Adi's dialogues....she tried sooo hard to twist the knife into him....and Adi in his naivete or cluelessness - jo bhi samajh lo....he managed to literally destroy her with the very thing she likes to use to her own advantage....her mahaan image😆.

Yes in general it feels grating for Adi to think she is some himmatwaali mahaan soul but the scene gets more satisfying when you pay more attention to Didi ke pissed off expressions rather than Adi ke praises for her😆. 7 saal ka regard toh aata hi rahega in some form in their convos whether we like it or not....and yes I'm also excluding the red roses from this scenario now....lol cuz I've ranted all that out of my system for now. And yes, you also have to subtract the sindoor tamasha fights from your memory to view this scene as a standalone😆. Woh sab side pe rakh ke dekhoge toh you will appreciate Adi ne kya CHOP ki hai Didi ki even while calling her himmatwaali😆

As for Imlie....nahin I still don't think that Adi is giving Malini the support that we want to see him giving to Imlie....my irritation initially was that he is unable to see through Malini and usko dono Imlie and Malini mahaan lagti hain😆....but keeping all that aside for now. what he gave to Malini in this scene was mostly pity....and yes, some latent guilt but all mostly as a FRIEND rather than a husband.....wohi toh destroyed Didi....that her "husband" did not care about her having some other guy in her life. And Imlie ke case mein Adi will never be content just being a "friend"....we already know that😆....that's why different situation.

Problem is the drag and as you said, too much negativity from all angles....the writers need to fix that for the audience also to find a balance again.....let's see what next week brings.

I did revisit it & observed what you meant here. All in all, Didi's attempt failed her to decipher the truth out only bought out simply empathy from him. He was only conversing with her as her friend (and probably her well-wisher to some extent) rather than her spouse. She started off with the term "as friends" so he is only responding to her as a "friend" would, thus thinking about revealing the truth from his side.

He only responded to how she produced the situation in her manner, therefore giving her a response that she was just crying from the delusion she was trying to subconsciously satisfy herself with.

I guess, pure week ki bhadaas k wajah s was expecting some reaction instead of groveling in front of didi like he did with the whole suffocation & whatnot.

I doubt it even register with him because he was still in that phase "what have we done"... "why did we marry each other when she loved another and he was already married"., ... ...he was totally in that regret mode and still it did not strike him, that they were at this stage because of lack of communication between them .... ... Atleast he is still saying that he married her because of his farz to the 7 year relationship and the relationship was a compromise that he did. So, at least for now, he is still thinking that there was no love back then. 😆
