While your observations on the lack of connection are absolutely on point, but even from a performance POV the dev-rishita pairing lack the chemistry you would expect from someone playing a couple deep in love.

The romance seems forced and the actors uncomfortable, in stark contrast with the other couple.

Shiva and Raavi have a natural chemistry and easy comradeship.

They are all kinds of adorable together.

Even when they fight, you can feel the crackling electricity in the air... Or maybe I'm just fangirling 😅

My point is even when I didn't know the premises of the show (I only recently started watching the series) I still thought Dev-rishita didn't seem like a crazy-in-love couple.

It just feels very inorganic to me ...

But hey! That's just me. I could be completely off the mark😕

This is specifically for the actress who plays Risitha because I could simply not connect with her even during the pre marriage scenes. She deffo needs to improve if they are at all planning to make her like the original Tamil character.

The actress who plays her character in Tamil is very good and is versatile. Many times I have sympathised with her POV as well and love her comic timing. So I have great hopes from Risitha and I hope she doesn't let me down.

They really need to improve acting wise. I agree that Meena seems to be so realistic in Pandian Stores, and like you said her comic timing is great, the banter between her and Jeeva is usually light. She does put across valid points.

Agree with you.. I think part of the problem is that both dev and rishita are comparatively not so good actors so their chemistry just seems forced

When you have amazing actors like Kinshuk, Shiny and Kanwar

And also Alice has a charm to her where she can bring out intense feelings when in her character toh thoda sa dull lag jaata hai baki sab

I guess in general if it was only DevRish then I guess we wouldnt feel that much?

Because somewhere the character of Dev looks awkward while romancing

They should have shown us DevRish lovestory for atleast sometime for us to start connecting to it in terms of chemistry just like how GauRa and now ShiVi

the problem is dev is calm and rishita is non stop nonsense ki dukaan... yup it looks more like a one side love story ,like only Rishita is in love with Dev and i feel the actress playing Rishita in this role is not suitable for the guy dev...not acting wise but sometimes na few couple diknaey mein hi made for each ither lagtaen hein..but yahaan zero..

Firstly the actors are bad. Dev is still OK but rishita is worse. Secondly their characters r horrible too. Dev is mostly in mute mode, rest of the times he is in dhara's lap. He has no personality of his own. Rishita is brattish and annoying..I hope she doesn't turn into a full time vamp bec she won't be able to carry it off.

The conditions under which they got married make them more unlikable. When I saw them.both romancing, I found it odd..the family is sad over whatever happened , they don't have to flaunt their love in front of them , this isn't the right time. Plus they owe an apology to the family.

For now , keep the romance angle aside. 🤢 i love Gaumbi and shiva with their partners

they dont match each other. actress playing rishita acted in show nazar..she had awesome chemistry with character naman.

To be simple, they look beautiful as an individual but together no,as dev steals away all the charm which is lacking in Rishita.

I think the chemistry will come with time, right now we have all seen the bad behaviour from both the characters so its hard to relate but the more the show progresses, the more we will see the chemistry.

It didn't help that they had like 2 scenes before the marriage track lmao! So their chemistry is lacking in that sense whereas Shiva and Raavi, we saw their story since they were children so for us they make more sense than Mera Dev Couple lmao!
